History of the Institution

Caleb University evolved from the Caleb Group of Schools founded by Prince Oladega Adebogun, a renowned educationist and entrepreneur. The Caleb educational system began with Caleb Nursery and Primary School established in Lagos in 1986 and later expanded into secondary education through Caleb International College.

Following years of success in primary and secondary education, the vision expanded into university education, leading to the establishment of Caleb University in Imota, Lagos State. The university received its operational licence from the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2007.

UTME (Undergraduate) Admission

Candidates applying for undergraduate admission into Caleb University must possess:

  • A minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics
  • Results obtained in WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings

Admission Requirements

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

Applicants must hold a first degree from Caleb University or any recognised university. Candidates with equivalent qualifications may also be considered.

Master’s Degree (M.Sc. and MBA)

  • A first degree from Caleb University or any recognised university with a minimum of Second-Class Lower (2:2) is required.
  • Candidates with a relevant Postgraduate Diploma or a professional qualification in addition to a first degree or HND may also apply.

M.Phil/Ph.D. and Ph.D. Programmes

  • Candidates with a good master’s degree with a CGPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale (or equivalent) may apply for M.Phil/Ph.D.
  • Those with a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5-point scale may apply for Ph.D.
  • Applicants should attach a Ph.D. proposal (maximum of 10 pages) in their chosen field when submitting the form.

Associate Professor (CONUASS 6)

  • Ph.D. in a related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of teaching, research, and administrative experience
  • At least 20 peer-reviewed publications
  • ICT proficiency required

Senior Lecturer (CONUASS 5)

  • Ph.D. with 5 years of experience in teaching and research
  • Minimum of 15 publications
  • Must demonstrate strong research ability

Lecturer I (CONUASS 4)
