Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe  widely known as FCE(T) Gombe or FCET Gombe  is a Federal Government-owned College of Education located in Gombe, Gombe State, North-East Nigeria. Established in 1977, it was originally known as the National Technical Teachers College before being renamed Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe . The college is funded and managed by the Federal Government through the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE). As a technical college of education, its mandate since inception has been to produce technical, vocational, and science teachers for primary and secondary schools in Nigeria . The college operates under the Dual Mandate Education Policy, offering both NCE and Undergraduate Degree programmes . The Provost is Dr. Ali Adamu (Boderi) . FCE(T) Gombe’s motto is technical and vocational excellence for national development.

History of the Institution

The Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe was established in 1977 by the Federal Government of Nigeria. It was originally known as the National Technical Teachers College, reflecting its core mandate of training technical teachers for the nation’s educational system .

The college was created as part of a broader federal initiative to address the shortage of qualified technical and vocational teachers in Nigerian primary and secondary schools. Admission Requirements

NCE Full-Time Programme Admission

• Candidates must have chosen FCE(T) Gombe as their institution of choice during UTME registration

• Minimum JAMB UTME cut-off mark: As specified by NCCE and the college (check current requirements)

• Five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language, in not more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB)

• NABTEB results are accepted, particularly for technical and vocational courses

School Fees
