Federal Polytechnic, Kaura‑Namoda popularly known as FEDPONAM is a Federal Government-owned polytechnic located in Kaura-Namoda, Zamfara State, Nigeria. The institution was established in June 1983 by the Federal Government of Nigeria to provide technical and vocational education for national development.

Federal Polytechnic Kaura-Namoda offers National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes in Engineering, Science, Environmental Studies, and Management disciplines. Federal Polytechnic Kaura-Namoda was established in 1983 during the administration of President Shehu Shagari. The institution was created to expand access to technical education in Northern Nigeria and across the country.

Federal Polytechnic Kaura-Namoda (FEDPONAM) has commenced its National Diploma (ND) admission exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session. The admission opportunity is open to prospective candidates who meet the Polytechnic’s stated O’Level and JAMB requirements. Applicants are required to have scored at least 100 marks in the 2026 JAMB examination and must have selected Federal Polytechnic Kaura-Namoda as their first-choice institution.

Candidates seeking admission must possess five relevant O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics where required for their chosen programme. In addition to the minimum JAMB score of 100, candidates must have FEDPONAM as their first choice. The Polytechnic also states that all ND admissions will be processed strictly through the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) as approved by JAMB.

Federal Polytechnic Kaura-Namoda have Opened its  2026/2027 HND Admission portal

Federal Polytechnic Kaura-Namoda (FEDPONAM) has commenced its Higher National Diploma (HND) admission exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session. The admission exercise is open to candidates who hold a relevant and accredited National Diploma (ND) from a recognised institution and have also completed the required industrial attachment training. Applicants can submit their applications online through the FEDPONAM admission portal, while hard-copy application forms are available from the Academic Affairs Unit on the Polytechnic’s Main Campus.

To qualify for admission, candidates must possess an accredited National Diploma in the relevant field from a recognised school. Applicants are also required to have completed at least one year of Industrial Attachment (IT) training after obtaining their National Diploma. The requirements apply to candidates seeking admission into the various HND programmes offered by the Polytechnic for the 2026/2027 session.

The HND application fee is N5,000 per form, excluding bank charges.
