Federal Polytechnic, Monguno  commonly known as FEDPOLY MONGUNO  is a Federal Government-owned polytechnic located in Monguno, Borno State, Nigeria. Established in 2021, it is the first federal polytechnic in Borno State, created to expand access to technical and vocational education in the North-East region.

The Polytechnic offers National Diploma (ND) and emerging Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes across engineering, science, environmental, and management disciplines, with a strong focus on practical skills and manpower development.

Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic traces its origin to 1976, when it was established as Sokoto State College of Technology, commencing academic activities in 1977 at a temporary site in Farfaru, Sokoto State.

In 1980, the institution became the Polytechnic of Sokoto State, and later relocated permanently to Birnin Kebbi. With the creation of Kebbi State in 1991, it was renamed The Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi.

In 2002, the institution was renamed Waziri Umaru Polytechnic in honour of a respected traditional ruler, and subsequently taken over by the Federal Government in 2007, becoming its present status.

Today, the polytechnic operates multiple schools and departments with over 50 accredited programmes, contributing significantly to technical education and manpower development in Nigeria.
