Grace Polytechnic  popularly known as GRACEPOLY  is a private tertiary institution located in Surulere, Lagos State, South-West Nigeria. The polytechnic was established in 1999 following the Federal Government of Nigeria allowing private investors to participate in the provision of tertiary education in Nigeria. Grace Polytechnic is the second private polytechnic in Nigeria. The institution is fully accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and offers National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes across three schools: School of Management and Business Studies, School of Engineering and Technologies, and School of Science and Related Technologies. The polytechnic has two campuses: one in Surulere, Lagos Central, and the other in Omu, Epe Division of Lagos State. History of the Institution

Grace Polytechnic was established in 1999 as the second private polytechnic in Nigeria. The institution was founded following the Federal Government’s policy allowing private investors to establish tertiary educational institutions in the country.

The polytechnic began with initial programmes including ND Banking and Finance and Pre-ND in Business and Finance, which received Federal Government approval through the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). To become a full-fledged polytechnic, the institution was later inspected for ND Electrical/Electronic Engineering, ND Computer Engineering, and ND Statistics, all of which are currently running at the polytechnic.

In 2010, the polytechnic took a giant stride further by applying for HND Accountancy, HND Office Technology and Management (formerly Secretarial Studies), HND Computer Science, and HND Electrical Electronic Engineering (Telecommunication option). The polytechnic currently has eight academic programmes running at ND and HND levels.

The institution operates two campuses: one in Surulere, Lagos Central, and the other in Omu, Epe Division of Lagos State. Both campuses enjoy an atmosphere of peace and quietude as they are located away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

ND (National Diploma) Admission Requirements

  • A minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE O’Level, or NABTEB

History of the Institution

College of Nursing Sciences, Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital was established by the Ekiti State Government to address the critical need for qualified nurses in the state and the South-West region of Nigeria. The institution operates as part of the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) system, leveraging the clinical resources of the teaching hospital for practical training .

The nursing science department at Ekiti State University itself was created in 2017, with Mrs. C.O. Adeleye serving as the pioneer coordinator from July 2017 to December 2018 . Prof. R.B. Fajemilehin served as Head of Department from January 2019 to December 2019, and the current coordinator as of 2021 is Mrs. R.O. Oke .

In December 2024, Ekiti State University inducted its first set of 54 Nursing Science graduates from the 2023/2024 set into the nursing profession, with eight students distinguishing themselves with Credit Pass in the professional examination . Miss Ogunbunmi Abisola Mary emerged as the overall best-graduating student .

The Ekiti State Government has continued to invest in the institution’s infrastructure. Federal College of Education, Okene  commonly known as FCE Okene, FCEKG, or simply FCET Okene  is a Federal Government-owned College of Education located in Okene, Kogi State, North-Central Nigeria. The institution was established in 1974 as the Federal Advanced Teachers College before later becoming a full Federal College of Education under the supervision of the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE). It is affiliated with the University of Ibadan (UI) for its Degree programmes. The college offers NCE, Degree, PDE, Pre-NCE, Sandwich, and Part-Time programmes across multiple academic schools. The current Provost is Dr. Umar Hassan.

History of the Institution

Federal College of Education, Okene was established in 1974 as the Federal Advanced Teachers College, Okene, in response to Nigeria’s growing need for trained teachers following national education reforms.
