Eastern Polytechnic, Port Harcourt is a private tertiary institution located in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. Founded in 2008 by Dr. S. A. N. History of the Institution

Eastern Polytechnic was founded in 2008 by Dr. Samuel Egwu (also known as Dr. S. A. N. Egwu), a visionary committed to improving access to quality education in Nigeria . Initially starting with a small number of departments, the polytechnic expanded its academic offerings to include programmes in engineering, business, accountancy, and computer science . Admission Requirements

ND (National Diploma) Admission Requirements 

• Minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE O’Level, or NABTEB

• Minimum JAMB UTME score (as set by JAMB for polytechnics)

• Candidates must select Eastern Polytechnic as their institution of choice on JAMB CAPS

• Candidates must be at least 16 years of age

• All eligible candidates must participate in the polytechnic’s screening exercise

HND (Higher National Diploma) Admission Requirements 

• A relevant ND with a minimum of Lower Credit from an NBTE-accredited institution

• A minimum of twelve (12) months of supervised industrial training (SIWES/IT) is compulsory

• Five O’Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings
