Yaba College of Technology was established in 1947 as Nigeria’s premier technical and vocational education institution . Admission Requirements

ND (National Diploma) Full-Time Admission

• A minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE O’Level, or NABTEB

• A valid JAMB UTME score

• Candidates must select YABATECH as their institution of first choice

HND (Higher National Diploma) Full-Time Admission

Students of Yaba College of Technology have developed an electric tricycle and an AI-powered food delivery platform to tackle transport, energy and logistics challenges.

HND Mechanical Engineering students, led by Chukwuma Chisom, developed an electric tricycle, which emerged as the overall best innovation. The students converted a petrol-powered TVS tricycle into a fully electric vehicle to reduce fuel dependence, cut transport costs and promote eco-friendly mobility.

Another highlight was an AI-powered food delivery ecosystem by student innovator Uba Mathew, aimed at improving meal recommendations and logistics. The platform leverages artificial intelligence to personalise user experience, streamline vendor operations and optimise delivery routes.
