University of Cross River State  popularly known as UNICROSS  is a public state university located in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. The university was originally established as Cross River State University of Technology (CRUTECH) in 2002 and was officially renamed University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) in 2021 by the Cross River State Government. The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has announced a job opening for the position of Bursar. This office is no small task. The Bursar serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the University and is directly responsible to the Vice Chancellor. From overseeing funds to keeping accounts balanced across all campuses, the Bursar is both a principal officer and an active member of the University Management team.

The role calls for steady hands and a clear mind, someone who can manage financial affairs without losing sight of accountability.

Qualifications and Experience Needed

To be considered for the post, candidates must:

  • Hold a B.Sc. in Accounting with at least Second Class Lower or its equivalent. A Master’s degree is acceptable too.
  • Have a minimum of 15 years of related experience, with much of it spent in a university or comparable body.
