UNILAG Foundation Studies Supplementary Admission 2026/2027

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced a supplementary admission opportunity into its School of Foundation Studies (SFS) for the 2026/2027 academic session. The supplementary exercise is intended to give prospective candidates who missed the earlier application window another opportunity to apply.

The supplementary application will open on Monday, 5 October 2026, and close on Friday, 23 October 2026. Interested candidates are advised to complete their applications before the deadline to avoid missing the opportunity.

UNILAG Direct Entry Admission 2026/2027

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has opened online registration for candidates seeking Direct Entry admission into its undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. Registration will run from 9 September to 6 October 2026. Candidates are required to complete the online registration, pay the ₦3,500 application fee and submit the required academic results before the deadline.

To be eligible, candidates must have chosen UNILAG as their first choice in the 2026/2027 Direct Entry JAMB application, possess five relevant O’Level credits at one sitting, including English Language and Mathematics, and be at least 16 years old by 30 September 2026. Accepted qualifications include First Degree, HND, OND, JUPEB, Cambridge A’ Level, NCE and other approved qualifications listed by the university.

Candidates should complete the application through the UNILAG application portal. The process involves generating a payment advice, paying the application fee online or at a commercial bank, completing the application form, uploading the relevant results, checking the information provided, submitting the form and printing the Direct Entry Application Slip. Candidates should ensure that their personal details are consistent across all submitted documents.

UNILAG stated that candidates who do not complete the online registration will not be considered for admission. Former students whose admission was withdrawn due to poor academic performance or absence may apply for a different programme, while expelled students are not eligible for fresh admission. The university also maintains a zero-tolerance policy on drug abuse, with admission subject to withdrawal where a newly admitted student tests positive for drug use. UNILAG Supplementary Admission Form is Out 2026/2027

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced a supplementary admission opportunity for UTME candidates who participated in the 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise but could not meet the cut-off marks for their preferred courses. The supplementary exercise is available for candidates interested in programmes with limited available spaces.

Eligible candidates can apply to change to any of the available programmes through the UNILAG change of programme portal at https://changeprgm.unilag.edu.ng/. Available courses include selected programmes in the Faculties of Arts, Education, Life Sciences, Physical and Earth Sciences, and Social Sciences. Candidates are advised to confirm that they meet the required JAMB and O’Level conditions before applying.

The application process requires candidates to log in using their UTME registration number, review their eligibility, select an available programme, complete the change of course application, and submit their details. The minimum Post-UTME score required for eligibility is 12, while candidates are reminded that submitting an application does not guarantee admission, as selection will depend on approved admission criteria and available spaces.

The supplementary application is open until Friday, September 25, 2026. Successful candidates will be required to process a change of course with JAMB to ensure their admission documents reflect the approved programme of study. Candidates are advised to submit only one application and carefully review their information before final submission.

UNILAG 2026/2027 Direct Entry Registration form for Undergraduate Admission on sale

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has scheduled online registration for Direct Entry admission into its undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. The registration exercise will run from Wednesday, 9 September to Tuesday, 22 September 2026, and eligible candidates are expected to complete their applications within the stated period to be considered for admission. Applicants must have selected UNILAG as their first-choice institution in the 2026/2027 Direct Entry JAMB application and must meet the university’s stated academic and age requirements.

Eligible candidates can begin the process through the UNILAG application portal. Applicants are required to start a new application, select Undergraduate as the application type, log in with their DE JAMB registration number and surname, generate a payment advice and pay the ₦3,500 application fee either online or at a commercial bank. They must then return to the portal to complete the application form, upload the relevant academic results, review the information provided and submit the application before printing the Direct Entry Application Slip for future reference.

Candidates are expected to have five relevant O’Level credit passes at one sitting, including English Language and Mathematics, and must be at least 16 years old by 30 September 2026. Depending on their Direct Entry qualification, applicants may be required to upload results such as a First Degree, HND, OND, NCE, JUPEB, Cambridge A’ Level and other recognised qualifications listed by the university. Applicants should also ensure that details such as their name, date of birth, state of origin and Local Government Area are consistent across their supporting documents to avoid problems during processing.

Participation in the online registration is required for Direct Entry admission consideration, and candidates who fail to submit their applications within the registration window will not be considered through the exercise. UNILAG Human Kinetics Diploma Admission 2026/2027 is Out

The University of Lagos (UNILAG), through its Human Resources Development Centre (HRDC) in collaboration with the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education, has opened applications for the two-year part-time Diploma in Human Kinetics and Health Education for the 2026/2027 academic session. The programme is designed for active sportsmen and women and successful candidates will receive a Diploma in Human Kinetics and Health Education.

Applicants must have five O’Level credits in WASSCE, NECO or GCE at one sitting, including Mathematics, English Language, Biology and another Science subject. Candidates must also possess a Coaching Grade III Certificate or Diploma from the National Institute of Sports. The fees are ₦100,000 tuition per session, ₦10,000 for course materials, and a ₦20,000 application fee.

The qualifying examination and interview will hold on Tuesday, 17 November 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the UNILAG Sports Centre. Lectures are scheduled to begin on Monday, 30 November 2026. Candidates should complete the application through the UNILAG HRDC portal, beginning with the pre-application form and payment of the ₦20,000 application fee.

After payment is confirmed, applicants can return to the portal to complete and print their application forms. The printed documents, together with the required copies of birth certificate, payment teller and academic credentials, should be submitted to the HRDC and Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education on or before Monday, 22 February 2027. Admission Lists

UNILAG 2026/2027 UTME/DE Admission List

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has released its admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session. Candidates who participated in the university’s admission screening exercise can now check their admission status through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

To check their status, candidates should visit the JAMB e-Facility portal, log in with their registered email address and password, and select Check Admission Status. They should then click Access my CAPS and select Admission Status to see whether they have been offered admission.

Candidates who receive an admission offer can accept or reject it by sending ACCEPT or REJECT via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number linked to their JAMB profile. According to the notice, candidates have four weeks to respond to their offers. Those who no longer have access to their registered phone numbers should visit a JAMB-accredited centre for assistance.

Candidates who accept their admission are advised to print their JAMB admission letters, as these may be required during clearance and registration at UNILAG. Candidates checking through a mobile phone who cannot see the admission-status option should use Google Chrome and enable Request desktop site to display the full CAPS page. Hostel / Accommodation

The University of Lagos provides on-campus hostel accommodation through several halls of residence for students.

The last known hostel accommodation fee ranges approximately between ₦25,000 – ₦90,000 per session depending on the hall of residence and room type. Hostel allocation is typically processed through the university portal after payment of accommodation fees.

UNILAG Toxicology Screening for New Students, 2026/2027

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced the toxicology screening exercise for newly admitted UTME and Direct Entry candidates for the 2026/2027 academic session. The exercise is mandatory under the university’s drug-testing policy and must be completed before candidates proceed with admission screening and registration.

The screening will run from Monday, 26 October, to Friday, 18 December 2026, from Mondays to Fridays, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The venue is the Jelili Adebisi Omotola Multipurpose Hall, UNILAG, Akoka. Candidates are required to book an appointment by completing the toxicology screening Google Form and printing the appointment slip sent to their registered email addresses.

Candidates must also bring proof of payment for the toxicology test to the screening venue. To make payment, visit the UNILAG Student Portal and log in using the JAMB registration number as the username and the surname in lowercase as the default password. Candidates should change the default password when prompted and complete the Biodata section.

After completing the Biodata section, select Payment, click Generate Fees for 2026/2027, and generate the payment advice for the Toxicology Test. Use the advice to pay through an approved payment channel and keep the receipt for verification. All newly admitted candidates are advised to complete the exercise within the stated period to avoid delays in their admission screening and registration.

UNILAG, University of Birmingham Launch Two Joint Postgraduate Programmes

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) and the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, have launched two joint postgraduate programmes in artificial intelligence and digital communications. The programmes are expected to commence in September 2027, following their launch by the Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa.

The courses are the MSc in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Technologies and the MA in Digital Media and Communications. They are designed to address emerging skills needs in technology, innovation, entrepreneurship and digital communication. Both universities are also exploring the possibility of extending the collaboration to relevant undergraduate degree programmes.

Dr Alausa described the partnership as part of the Federal Government’s efforts to expand access to international academic opportunities within Nigeria. He linked the initiative to the Nigerian Education Sector Renewal Initiative (NESRI), particularly its Education Quality Assurance pillar, and the government’s Transnational Education Policy. He added that the collaboration could equip graduates with skills for employment and business creation.

The Plateau State College of Nursing Sciences, Vom, has announced the schedule for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise for candidates who applied for admission into the Non-Terminal ND/HND Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The polytechnic commenced academic activities with a limited number of programmes before gradually expanding into multiple schools and departments covering Business, Applied Sciences, Engineering Technology, Environmental Studies, and Communication Technology.

Isa Mustapha Agwai Poly Announces Maiden Summer Programme 2025/2026

The Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic (IMAP), Lafia, Nasarawa State, has announced its maiden Summer Programme (Third Semester) for the 2025/2026 academic session. The programme was approved by the Polytechnic’s Academic Board at its 16th Regular Meeting.

The Summer Programme is designed for students with outstanding failed courses from the first and/or second semester examinations of the 2025/2026 session. It will allow eligible students to retake failed courses, clear carry-over backlogs and make progress towards graduation. Students cannot use the programme to retake courses they have already passed.

The programme will run for six weeks, comprising four weeks of lectures, revision and academic activities followed by two weeks of examinations. Registration and course finalisation will take place from October 19 to 23, 2026, while lectures and revision are scheduled for October 26 to November 13. Examinations will hold from November 16 to 27, followed by marking and results processing, with the Summer Programme results scheduled for release on December 11, 2026.

Eligible students are required to pay 50% of the applicable 2025/2026 school fees, in addition to ₦5,000 for each failed course or paper registered. The Polytechnic advised students to confirm their outstanding courses, register only for eligible failed courses, make payments through approved channels and participate fully in the scheduled academic activities and examinations.

AFUED Resumption Date for Newly Admitted Students for 2026/2027 Session

Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED) has announced 4 December 2026 as the resumption date for newly admitted students for the 2026/2027 academic session. Screening of newly admitted students is scheduled to begin on 23 November and end on 4 December 2026.

According to the university’s approved academic calendar, the session commenced on 11 October 2026, with teaching orientation activities for 300- and 400-level students. Teaching practice was scheduled to begin on 19 October, while orientation for the Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) took place on 20 October, ahead of the programme’s commencement on 2 November 2026.

For regular undergraduate students, first-semester lectures and registration will begin on 4 January 2027. Reverend Father Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi (MOAUM), formerly Benue State University, has announced admission into its proficiency certificate courses for interested applicants. The programmes are offered through the Faculty of Technology and Industrial Studies at the Adikpo Campus and are designed to provide practical skills in different areas.

The certificate courses cover fields including Agricultural Technology and Consumer Science, Business Technology and Entrepreneurship Education, and Industrial Technology. Available programmes include salon and beauty therapy, fashion design, baking and confectioneries, computer application, office management, financial accounting, automobile repairs, welding, solar installation, electrical works, refrigeration and other technical trades.

The management of Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University (MOAUM), Makurdi, Benue State, formerly known as Benue State University (BSU), has announced the conduct of its Post-UTME test for the 2026/2027 academic session. The exercise is for candidates seeking admission into selected programmes at the university.

According to an internal memo dated 6 October 2026, the Post-UTME test will cover candidates applying for Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), B.Sc. Radiography and Radiation Science, B.Sc. The College of Nursing Sciences, University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (CONS UPTH), has commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its full-time National Diploma (ND) General Nursing Science programme for the 2026/2027 academic session. Eligible candidates who meet the required academic, JAMB and age criteria are invited to apply.

Undergraduate Admission

UNIBEN Part-Time Degree Admission Form for 2026/2027 Session

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its Part-Time Degree, Diploma, and Certificate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. The opportunity is open to suitably qualified candidates seeking flexible study options while earning a recognised University of Benin qualification.

The approved programmes cover various fields in Arts, Education, Social Sciences, Management Sciences, and Sciences. Available undergraduate courses include B.A. International Studies and Diplomacy, B.A. Mass Communication, B.Sc. Accounting, B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Sc. Public Administration, B.Sc. Hostel / Accommodation

UNIBEN Hostel Application Portal Opens for Second Batch 2026/2027

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has announced the activation of its hostel bed-space allocation portal for the second batch of applicants for the 2026/2027 academic session. The portal will open on Friday, 16 October 2026, at 2:00 p.m., using the “Fastest Finger” allocation method.

Interested students are advised to take note of the date and time and be ready to access the portal when it opens. The university stated that any allocated bed space that is not cleared through payment and completion of the required documentation within two days of allocation will be withdrawn and reassigned to another student.

The university has also warned students against keeping prohibited electrical appliances and cooking equipment in the hostels. These include hot plates, microwave ovens, washing machines, electric kettles and gas cookers.

UNIBEN cautioned that violating the ban on prohibited items could attract severe disciplinary action, including rustication or expulsion from the university. Students are therefore advised to comply with the hostel regulations and complete all bed-space clearance requirements within the stipulated period.

UNIBEN Academic Calendar 2026/2027 Session Released

The University of Benin (UNIBEN), Benin City, has released its academic calendar for full-time undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. The approved schedule contains important academic activities for both the first and second semesters, including resumption dates, registration, lectures, examinations, holidays and result processing.

According to the calendar, newly admitted students will begin online clearance on Monday, 5th October 2026, while lectures for all students will commence on Monday, 19th October 2026. UNIBEN Warns Students Against Fake Hostel Accommodation Platforms

The management of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has issued a disclaimer warning students, parents and guardians against unauthorised platforms and individuals demanding payments to secure hostel accommodation. The university said it had received reports of people allegedly operating fraudulent accommodation schemes and making promises to help applicants obtain rooms in university hostels.

According to the management, no individual, agent, intermediary or unauthorised platform has been appointed to collect payments for hostel accommodation on behalf of the university. All accommodation requests must be processed transparently through the official university portal. Students and their sponsors are advised not to make payments to personal accounts or any channel outside the university’s officially prescribed payment system.

The university also warned individuals involved in accommodation-related fraud, impersonation, extortion or false representation to desist immediately. It stated that anyone found engaging in such activities would be referred to the appropriate law-enforcement authorities for prosecution in accordance with Nigerian law. UNIBEN further clarified that it would not accept responsibility for financial losses or other consequences arising from dealings with unauthorised persons or platforms.

Students, parents and guardians are advised to disregard suspicious accommodation offers and report suspected fraudulent activities to the appropriate university authorities. For reliable information and clarification on hostel accommodation, members of the university community should contact the Office of the Dean, Students’ Affairs Division. The notice was signed by the Registrar, Bimpe Omoyiwola, FCPM.

UNIBEN Health Centre Fumigation Ahead of Resumption

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has announced the temporary closure of its Health Centre ahead of the commencement of the 2026/2027 academic session. The closure is to allow the facility to undergo fumigation as part of preparations for students and staff returning to campus.

According to the university’s notice dated 30 September 2026, the Health Centre will be shut from Friday, 2 October to Sunday, 4 October 2026. During this period, regular services will not be available at the facility.

The Health Centre is scheduled to resume normal services on Monday, 5 October 2026, ahead of the new academic session. UNIBEN Management asked members of the university community to take note of the temporary closure and make appropriate arrangements where necessary.

Management also appreciated members of the university community for their understanding as the fumigation exercise is carried out.

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology  widely known as LAUTECH  is a public state university located in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, South-West Nigeria. Established on 23rd April 1990, LAUTECH is one of Nigeria’s most prestigious universities of technology and has earned recognition as the Best State University in Nigeria, the Best University of Technology in Nigeria, and the 4th Best University in Nigeria overall. With a student population of over 30,000 and more than 3,000 skilled academic and non-teaching staff, LAUTECH offers undergraduate, postgraduate, part-time, Open Distance Learning (ODL), JUPEB, and Pre-Degree Science (PDS) programmes across twelve faculties on two campuses. All programmes are fully accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC). The current Vice-Chancellor is Professor Mojeed Kolawole Liasu.

History of the Institution

The origins of LAUTECH trace back to 1987, when the Military Governor of Oyo State, Governor Adetunji Olurin, received a request from the Polytechnic Ibadan’s Governing Council to establish a state university. In 1988, Governor Olurin constituted a seven-member inter-ministerial committee chaired by Mrs. Oyinkan Ayoola, which recommended the creation of a university of technology. On 13th March 1990, Nigeria’s Federal Military Government gave approval for the establishment, and the edict creating the Oyo State University of Technology (OSUTECH) was signed on 23rd April 1990 by Colonel Sasaenia Oresanya.

The university commenced its inaugural academic session on 19th October 1990, with an initial enrolment of 436 students across four pioneer faculties: Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, Engineering and Management Science, and Pure and Applied Science. Professor Olusegun Ladimeji Oke — after whom the university’s main library is named — served as the pioneer Vice-Chancellor. In January 1991, the late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale (M.K.O.) Abiola assumed the role of the university’s first Chancellor. A College of Health Sciences was established a year after the institution opened.

Following the creation of Osun State from the old Oyo State in 1991, the university was renamed Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, in honour of the late Chief Samuel Ládòkè Akíntọ́lá, a prominent Ogbomoso-born Nigerian statesman and the Premier of the old Western Region, who was tragically assassinated in January 1966. The university was jointly owned by Oyo and Osun States from its founding until 20th November 2020, when it became solely owned by Oyo State following a mutual agreement between the two states.

LAUTECH has won numerous national and international awards and rankings and has grown from 4 pioneer faculties to 12 faculties, with a second campus — the College of Agricultural Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources — established in Iseyin. The institution’s Teaching Hospital is located in Osogbo. A TETFund-supported hostel construction project worth ₦3 billion is currently in progress to provide on-campus student accommodation.

Admission Forms

UTME (Undergraduate) Admission

  • A minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE O’Level, or NABTEB.
  • A valid JAMB UTME score meeting the minimum cut-off mark is required. Candidates must select LAUTECH as their institution of first choice on JAMB. LAUTECH does not accept second-choice candidates.
  • All eligible candidates must participate in the Post-UTME screening exercise and meet the departmental cut-off mark.
  • UTME subject combinations must be relevant to the chosen programme.

Direct Entry Admission

  • Candidates with A’Level passes, ND (Upper Credit), HND, or NCE qualifications may apply for Direct Entry into 200 Level.
  • Five (5) O’Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings are required in addition to the Direct Entry qualification.

JUPEB (Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board)

LAUTECH Postgraduate Admission Form is Out, 2026/2027

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has announced the commencement of applications for admission into its Regular Postgraduate Programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. Interested and suitably qualified candidates can apply for postgraduate programmes offered across various faculties of the university.

The available programmes cover different levels, including Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master’s programmes, Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.), M.Phil/Ph.D. and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programmes across faculties such as Agricultural Sciences, Basic Clinical Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences, Computing and Informatics, Engineering and Technology, Environmental Sciences, Management Sciences, Nursing Sciences, and Pure and Applied Sciences.

Applicants are required to meet the general and specific admission requirements for their chosen programmes. The application fee is ₦20,000, excluding bank charges, and payment is to be made using an Interswitch-enabled debit card. Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has released the admission cut-off marks for its various undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. The cut-off marks are for candidates who applied for admission into the university through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

School Fees

The last known school fees for LAUTECH for the 2024/2025 academic session were approximately ₦372,400 for Oyo State indigenes and ₦459,900 for non-indigenes, excluding the mandatory acceptance fee and other additional charges. Fees vary by faculty, course, and student status.

The acceptance fee for newly admitted fresh students is ₦50,000 (non-refundable), paid as a one-time fee to confirm admission. Postgraduate students pay ₦30,000 as an acceptance fee. Each department charges additional levies of approximately ₦10,000 — ₦15,000 per session. Medical students may pay supplementation fees of ₦125,000 — ₦250,000. The total JUPEB programme fee is approximately ₦215,000, and the Pre-Degree Science programme fee is approximately ₦185,000.

LAUTECH allows instalment payment of tuition fees, but students must pay at least 40% — 50% of their fees before sitting for semester examinations. Late payment attracts penalties. Hostel / Accommodation

LAUTECH currently operates as a non-residential university, meaning there are no official on-campus student hostels managed by the university at present. However, a TETFund-supported hostel construction project worth ₦3 billion is currently ongoing, and on-campus hostels are expected to be available when completed.

LAUTECH Academic Calendar for 2026/2027 Harmattan Semester Released

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has released the approved academic calendar for the 2026/2027 Harmattan Semester. The calendar was approved by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. R. O. Rom Kalihu, on behalf of the University Senate for all staff and students of the institution.

Fresh students are expected to resume on Monday, 5th October 2026, for certificate verification, documentation and registration, while returning students will resume on Monday, 12th October 2026. Lectures for both fresh and returning students will also commence on Monday, 12th October 2026.

LAUTECH College of Agriculture Clarifies Lecturers’ Status at Iseyin Campus

The Office of the Provost, College of Agricultural Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources (CASRNR), Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Iseyin Campus, has issued a clarification regarding reports claiming that lecturers have returned to the university’s Ogbomoso campus. In a statement dated 21 October 2026, the college described the report as unconfirmed and said it did not reflect the current situation at Iseyin Campus.

According to the college, academic activities have resumed at the Iseyin Campus following the long academic break. Lecturers across the college have also commenced lectures, contrary to reports suggesting that they have returned to Ogbomoso.

The college urged students to disregard the unverified reports and remain calm as academic activities continue. Students were also advised to rely on credible sources and official university communications for accurate information about developments at the campus.

LAUTECH JUPEB Admission Form Deadline Extended for 2026/2027 Session

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has announced an extension of the application deadline for its Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) programme for the 2026/2027 academic session. The extension gives interested candidates additional time to complete their applications for the programme.

LAUTECH Announces 75th Inaugural Lecture

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State, has announced its 75th Inaugural Lecture, which will be delivered by Professor James Enajero Tobih, MBBS (Ibadan), FWACS.
