History of the Institution
The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) is one of Nigeria’s specialized universities of technology established to advance education and research in science, engineering, and technological development. The university was established in 1983 by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
FUTMINNA was created as part of a national policy to promote technological education and innovation capable of driving Nigeria’s industrial and economic development. The institution began academic activities in 1984 and has grown to become one of the leading universities of technology in the country.
The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in engineering, sciences, environmental technology, agriculture, and management technology.

Candidates must sit for the UTME conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Applicants must possess at least five O’Level credits including English Language and Mathematics and other relevant subjects depending on the programme.
