The Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUSOK) is a federal university established in 1975 by the Federal Government of Nigeria. It was originally known as the University of Sokoto before being renamed in honour of the great Islamic scholar Usman Dan Fodio.
The university was established to promote higher education in northern Nigeria, particularly in agriculture, sciences, arts, and Islamic studies.
