Adamawa State University  commonly known as ADSU  is a state-owned university located in Mubi, Adamawa State, Nigeria. Established in 2002, it is the first state university in North-East Nigeria, created to promote access to higher education and support regional development.

The Management of Adamawa State University (ADSU) has announced a compulsory two-day orientation exercise for all newly admitted students. The exercise will cover all Faculties across the University’s two campuses, with dates assigned per campus.

  • The exercise will commence at 10:00 a.m. on each day. Students are expected to attend promptly from the start.

ADSU Offers Free Transport and Lodging for 2025 Convocation

Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, has announced that the Vice-Chancellor has approved free transportation and accommodation for all graduands and interested undergraduates attending the 2025 Convocation Ceremony.

Transport Schedule

University buses will convey students to and from the convocation venue. Below are the designated pick-up points and departure times for Thursday, 30 October 2025:

 

  • Yola: Mubi Roundabout, Jimeta–Yola – 8:00 a.m.
  • Song: Local Government Secretariat – 9:00 a.m.
  • Gombi: Junction – 10:00 a.m.
  • Hong: LCCN No.1, Hong – 10:30 a.m.
  • Madagali: Local Government Secretariat, Gulak – 9:00 a.m.
  • Michika: Local Government Secretariat – 9:30 a.m.

Important Information for Travellers

Students are required to present either their school identification card or examination card before boarding the buses. This measure helps ensure that only registered students benefit from the arrangement.

Accommodation for Attendees

To make travel easier, the Vice-Chancellor has also approved accommodation for all graduands and undergraduates attending the event. Students are encouraged to plan ahead and make use of these arrangements.

Convocation Fees

All graduands are to pay their certificate fees according to their level of study:

  • First Degree: ₦15,000
  • Postgraduate Diploma: ₦20,000
  • Master’s Degree: ₦25,000
  • Ph.D: ₦35,000
  • Alumni Fee: ₦3,500

Alumni Membership

Registration for Alumni membership begins on Friday, 31 October 2025, at the Academic Division, Adamawa State University, Mubi.

Issuance of Academic Gowns

  1. Gowns will be issued from 30 October 2025, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., at each faculty office. Collection is on a first-come, first-served basis. Graduands must show proof of graduation within the convocation period.
  2. Ph.D. graduands may purchase their gowns for ₦50,000, which is not part of the convocation fee. The gown serves as personal property and a mark of belonging to ADSU.
  3. Payment of the Alumni fee is compulsory for all graduands of the 15th–17th Convocation.

Presentation of Payment Evidence

Graduands must present verified receipts for all required payments before collecting their certificates.

Return of Academic Gowns

Borrowed gowns must be returned on or before Wednesday, 5 November 2025. A fine of ₦5,000 per day applies for late returns.

Collection of Certificates

Certificate distribution begins on Monday, 3 November 2025, at the Academic Division. To collect, graduands must present the following:

  1. Original statement of result
  2. School ID card
  3. National ID card
  4. Copy of O’ Level certificate
  5. Evidence of Alumni membership
  6. Receipt of convocation fee payment

Other Important Notes

  • All graduands are expected to attend the Convocation Lecture on Friday, 31 October 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at the Jikamana Conference Hall, ADSU Mubi Guest Inn, Garden City, Mubi.
  • Only those properly dressed in their faculty gowns will be allowed to join the academic procession and enter the Convocation Ground.

The Convocation Ceremony for the 15th, 16th, and 17th combined sessions of Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, has been officially announced.
