The Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, through its Institute of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Education, has announced the commencement of applications for admission into the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) programme for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The institution stated that the PGDE programme is designed for graduates without teaching qualifications and also serves as a requirement for registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). It further prepares candidates for the TRCN Professional Qualifying Examinations (PQEs).
Eligibility Criteria For Applicants
Candidates are eligible to apply if they possess any of the following qualifications:
Higher National Diploma (HND)
Bachelor’s Degree (BA/B.Sc.)
Master’s Degree (MA/M.Sc./MPA/MBA)
PhD
Programme Duration
The PGDE programme runs for two (2) semesters.
Target Candidates
The programme is designed for prospective teachers across all levels of education, including early childhood, primary, secondary, and tertiary education. It also aims to support the training of qualified STEM educators.
TRCN Registration Information
The institution also serves as a registration centre for the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) Professional Qualifying Examinations.
Examination registration fees are as follows:
NCE – ₦7,500
HND/BA/B.Sc. – ₦9,500
MA/M.Ed./M.Sc./MPA/MBA – ₦11,500
PhD/DBA – ₦13,500
