History of the Institution

Kaduna Polytechnic was established in 1956 as the Kaduna Technical Institute and later upgraded to a polytechnic in 1968. It is one of the oldest and largest polytechnics in Nigeria. The institution has produced countless skilled graduates who have contributed significantly to Nigeria’s technical and managerial workforce.

Admission Requirements

ND (National Diploma) Full-Time Admission (2025/2026 Session)

• JAMB Cut-Off Mark: Minimum of 100 

• Institution Choice: KADPOLY must be your first choice in JAMB 

• O’Level Requirements: Minimum of five (5) credit passes including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings

• Post-UTME Screening: Candidates must register and participate in the screening exercise

HND (Higher National Diploma) Admission

• A relevant National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit (CGPA 2.50) from an NBTE-accredited institution

• A minimum of one year of post-ND industrial training (SIWES/IT)

• Five O’Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings

ODFeL Programme Admission – 2026/2027 

ND Programmes:

• Minimum of 5 O’Level credit passes including English and Mathematics

• Credits in not more than two sittings

• Relevant JAMB UTME score (where applicable)

HND Programmes:

• ND in a relevant field from an accredited institution

• Minimum of one year post-ND industrial training/work experience

• Evidence of O’Level credits used for ND admission

PDE (Professional Diploma in Education):

• HND, B.Sc., or equivalent qualification

Post-UTME / Screening Information (2025/2026)

Kaduna Polytechnic’s Post-UTME screening for the 2025/2026 session began on July 22, 2025 .

Application Process :

1. Visit https://postutme.kadunapoly.edu.ng

2. Enter your JAMB Number and click “Search”

3. Provide a valid email address and telephone number

4. Follow the activation link sent to your email

5. Generate your REMITA (RRR) invoice

6. Pay the screening fee via Remita (online or at any bank branch)

7. After successful payment, open a PUTME screening account
