The approval followed the successful completion of the university’s probationary period, which began after its initial licence was granted in 2023. Reverend Father Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi (MOAUM), formerly Benue State University, has announced admission into its proficiency certificate courses for interested applicants. CONS UPTH General Nursing Admission Form 2026/2027 is Out

The College of Nursing Sciences, University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (CONS UPTH), has commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its full-time National Diploma (ND) General Nursing Science programme for the 2026/2027 academic session. Eligible candidates who meet the required academic, JAMB and age criteria are invited to apply.

Applicants must possess five O’Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics from WAEC, NECO or a combination of both, obtained in not more than two sittings. Candidates are also required to have a minimum score of 170 in the 2026 JAMB UTME and must be at least 16 years old by September 2026. Applicants must also complete a change of institution on JAMB CAPS to the College of Nursing Sciences, UPTH before applying.

The application form costs N25,000 and payment can be made online through Card, Transfer, USSD or Bank App. Interested candidates who have completed the JAMB CAPS change of institution can apply through the CONS UPTH application portal at https://ecampus.cons.upth.gov.ng/ by creating an account, completing the application process and uploading the required documents.

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology  widely known as LAUTECH  is a public state university located in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, South-West Nigeria. Established on 23rd April 1990, LAUTECH is one of Nigeria’s most prestigious universities of technology and has earned recognition as the Best State University in Nigeria, the Best University of Technology in Nigeria, and the 4th Best University in Nigeria overall. With a student population of over 30,000 and more than 3,000 skilled academic and non-teaching staff, LAUTECH offers undergraduate, postgraduate, part-time, Open Distance Learning (ODL), JUPEB, and Pre-Degree Science (PDS) programmes across twelve faculties on two campuses. All programmes are fully accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC). The current Vice-Chancellor is Professor Mojeed Kolawole Liasu.

History of the Institution

The origins of LAUTECH trace back to 1987, when the Military Governor of Oyo State, Governor Adetunji Olurin, received a request from the Polytechnic Ibadan’s Governing Council to establish a state university. In 1988, Governor Olurin constituted a seven-member inter-ministerial committee chaired by Mrs. Oyinkan Ayoola, which recommended the creation of a university of technology. On 13th March 1990, Nigeria’s Federal Military Government gave approval for the establishment, and the edict creating the Oyo State University of Technology (OSUTECH) was signed on 23rd April 1990 by Colonel Sasaenia Oresanya.

The university commenced its inaugural academic session on 19th October 1990, with an initial enrolment of 436 students across four pioneer faculties: Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, Engineering and Management Science, and Pure and Applied Science. Professor Olusegun Ladimeji Oke — after whom the university’s main library is named — served as the pioneer Vice-Chancellor. In January 1991, the late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale (M.K.O.) Abiola assumed the role of the university’s first Chancellor. A College of Health Sciences was established a year after the institution opened.

Following the creation of Osun State from the old Oyo State in 1991, the university was renamed Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, in honour of the late Chief Samuel Ládòkè Akíntọ́lá, a prominent Ogbomoso-born Nigerian statesman and the Premier of the old Western Region, who was tragically assassinated in January 1966. The university was jointly owned by Oyo and Osun States from its founding until 20th November 2020, when it became solely owned by Oyo State following a mutual agreement between the two states.

LAUTECH has won numerous national and international awards and rankings and has grown from 4 pioneer faculties to 12 faculties, with a second campus — the College of Agricultural Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources — established in Iseyin. The institution’s Teaching Hospital is located in Osogbo. A TETFund-supported hostel construction project worth ₦3 billion is currently in progress to provide on-campus student accommodation.

Admission Forms

UTME (Undergraduate) Admission

  • A minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE O’Level, or NABTEB.
  • A valid JAMB UTME score meeting the minimum cut-off mark is required. Candidates must select LAUTECH as their institution of first choice on JAMB. LAUTECH does not accept second-choice candidates.
  • All eligible candidates must participate in the Post-UTME screening exercise and meet the departmental cut-off mark.
  • UTME subject combinations must be relevant to the chosen programme.

Direct Entry Admission

  • Candidates with A’Level passes, ND (Upper Credit), HND, or NCE qualifications may apply for Direct Entry into 200 Level.
  • Five (5) O’Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings are required in addition to the Direct Entry qualification.

JUPEB (Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board)

  • A one-year foundation programme that qualifies candidates for Direct Entry admission into 200 Level at LAUTECH or other participating universities, without re-sitting JAMB. Apply via the LAUTECH JUPEB portal.

Pre-Degree Science (PDS)

  • A one-year remedial programme that prepares candidates for direct admission into LAUTECH. Successful candidates may proceed to 100 Level.

Open Distance Learning (ODL)

  • LAUTECH offers flexible distance learning programmes. The minimum UTME cut-off mark for ODL candidates is 170.

LAUTECH Postgraduate Admission Form is Out, 2026/2027

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has announced the commencement of applications for admission into its Regular Postgraduate Programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. Interested and suitably qualified candidates can apply for postgraduate programmes offered across various faculties of the university.

The available programmes cover different levels, including Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master’s programmes, Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.), M.Phil/Ph.D. and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programmes across faculties such as Agricultural Sciences, Basic Clinical Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences, Computing and Informatics, Engineering and Technology, Environmental Sciences, Management Sciences, Nursing Sciences, and Pure and Applied Sciences.

The duration of the full-time postgraduate programmes varies depending on the programme level. Postgraduate Diploma programmes run for a minimum of two semesters, Master’s programmes require a minimum of three semesters, while M.Phil/Ph.D and Ph.D programmes run for a minimum of six semesters.

Interested applicants can obtain the application form online through the LAUTECH postgraduate application portal at https://apply.lautech.edu.ng. The application fee is ₦20,000, excluding bank charges, and payment is to be made using an Interswitch-enabled debit card. Cut off Mark

LAUTECH Departmental Cut-Off Marks 2026/2027 Released

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has released the admission cut-off marks for its various undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. The cut-off marks are for candidates who applied for admission into the university through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

The released cut-off marks provide candidates with the required scores for their chosen programmes during the 2026/2027 admission exercise. Applicants are advised to check the official LAUTECH admission update platform to view the cut-off mark for their respective courses.

The acceptance fee for newly admitted fresh students is ₦50,000 (non-refundable), paid as a one-time fee to confirm admission. Postgraduate students pay ₦30,000 as an acceptance fee. Each department charges additional levies of approximately ₦10,000 — ₦15,000 per session. Medical students may pay supplementation fees of ₦125,000 — ₦250,000. Hostel / Accommodation

LAUTECH currently operates as a non-residential university, meaning there are no official on-campus student hostels managed by the university at present. However, a TETFund-supported hostel construction project worth ₦3 billion is currently ongoing, and on-campus hostels are expected to be available when completed.

In the meantime, students rely on privately owned hostels and apartments located around the university campus in Ogbomoso. Private hostel fees in Ogbomoso range from approximately ₦90,000 to ₦300,000 per year depending on location, amenities, and room type. Nigerian Army University Biu (NAUB) has announced the commencement of its Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session. The screening exercise is scheduled to hold from 29 June to 4 October 2026 for candidates who selected the university as their first choice and meet the required cut-off mark for their chosen programmes.

Eligible applicants are required to meet the minimum UTME score approved for their selected courses. While most programmes require a minimum score of 150, candidates applying for Computer Science, Cyber Security and Criminology and Security Studies must have at least 170. Kwara State University (KWASU) is a state-owned university located in Malete, Kwara State, Nigeria. Established in 2009 by the Kwara State Government, KWASU is widely known as The Green University for Community Development and Entrepreneurship. It has grown into one of Nigeria’s innovative state universities, recognized for entrepreneurship education, stable academic calendar, expanding professional programmes, and modern learning systems.

KWASU offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, top-up, sandwich, distance learning, and professional programmes across multiple faculties. The university attracts students from all parts of Nigeria and beyond.

History of the Institution

Kwara State University was founded in 2009 to expand access to quality university education in Kwara State and Nigeria. From inception, the university adopted a distinctive model focused on community development, innovation, entrepreneurship, and employability.

Unlike many institutions, KWASU integrated entrepreneurship training into student development early, making business and practical skills part of the university culture. Since establishment, it has expanded academic offerings, laboratories, student services, and digital infrastructure.
