The Federal University, Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) was established in 2011 by the Federal Government of Nigeria as part of a national initiative to expand access to higher education across the country.

The university was created alongside other new federal universities to address the increasing demand for university education and to promote regional development. FUOYE operates across two campuses in Oye-Ekiti and Ikole-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Since its establishment, the university has experienced rapid growth in student population, academic programmes, and infrastructure. It has expanded into diverse fields including engineering, law, medical sciences, management, and social sciences, positioning itself as one of the fast-growing federal universities in Nigeria.

Undergraduate Admission

  • Candidates must sit for the UTME conducted by JAMB.

  • Applicants must have at least five O’Level credits including English Language and Mathematics.

  • Candidates must select FUOYE as first choice or apply for a change of institution.

  • Candidates must participate in the Post-UTME screening exercise.
