The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has announced the commencement of applications for its Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session.
All eligible candidates who selected the institution as their first choice in the 2026 UTME are invited to apply within the approved registration period.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following conditions to be considered:
- Must have applied through JAMB for the 2026 admission exercise
- Must have selected FUTO as first choice institution
- Must have scored a minimum of 150 in UTME
- Must be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2026
- Must possess at least five (5) O’Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics
For the MBBS programme, candidates must have five (5) relevant credits (English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology) at one sitting only.

Application Fee And Procedure
Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable fee of ₦2,000.
Registration steps include:
- Visit https://www.futo.edu.ng or https://portal.futo.edu.ng/#undergraduate
- Generate invoice using JAMB registration number
- Pay via bank or ATM card
- Complete application form online
- Submit and print acknowledgement slip
Important Notices
- All candidates must upload O’Level results on JAMB CAPS not later than 17 August 2026
- Direct Entry candidates must ensure transcript submission to the Registrar
- Only candidates whose details match JAMB CAPS records will be considered
- Application is incomplete without final submission
