UNIABUJA 29th & 30th Combined Convocation Ceremony Date 2026

The University of Abuja Vice-Chancellor, Professor Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi, on behalf of the Council, Senate, and University Community, has released the schedule for the 29th and 30th Combined Convocation Ceremony.

The programme will run from Friday, 10 April to Saturday, 18 April 2026, featuring the award of First Degrees, Higher Degrees, and Honorary Doctorate Degrees. All major events will hold at the University Convocation Square, Main Campus, starting at 10:00 am daily, unless otherwise stated.

• Juma’at Prayer at the University Mosque by 1:00 pm

Sunday, 12 April 2026

• Inter-Denominational Church Service at Chapel of Love, Mini Campus by 9:00 am

Monday, 13 April 2026

• Press briefing led by the Vice-Chancellor at Academic Conference Centre, Main Campus by 10:00 am

Tuesday, 14 April 2026

• Faculty Innovation Showcase: 10:00 am (research displays, patents, student projects, and community impact projects)
• Drug Awareness and Sensitisation Lecture: 3:00 pm
  • Theme: “High Today, Low Tomorrow: The Real Cost of Drug Abuse on Campus”
  • Speaker: Brigadier Gen Mohammed Buba Marwa (Rtd), Director General, NDLEA
• Vice-Chancellor’s Fireside Chat with First-Class Graduands: 5:00 pm at Faculty of Law Lecture Theatre
