History of the Institution

Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti was established in 2020 by the Ekiti State Government following the upgrade of the College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti (COEIKERE) to a full-fledged university . The university was established under the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti Law .

At the 27th Nigerian Universities Games (NUGA), BOUESTI secured nine medals and ranked 14th among 97 universities . One of its students, Miss Phebe Oluwalade, represented Nigeria at the Africa Under-18 Handball Championship .

• Minimum JAMB UTME cut-off mark: 150 (as of 2025/2026 session)

• Five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB)
