History of the Institution
Madonna University was established on May 10, 1999, by the Very Reverend Father Professor E.M.P. Edeh, a Catholic priest and academic . The university was founded as Nigeria’s first private Catholic university, with a mission to combine academic excellence with strong moral and religious values . From its founding, Madonna University distinguished itself by establishing three strategically located campuses across the eastern states of Nigeria.
