The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has released the 2025 November/December NBC/NTC and ANBC/ANTC examination results.
At the Board’s headquarters in Benin, the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Aminu Mohammed, announced that 60 per cent of candidates obtained five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics. The results were released 64 days after the last paper.
EducationNGR gathered that the latest release reflects increased participation and improved monitoring processes.
Key Figures From The 2025 Nov/Dec Results
NABTEB recorded a total of 61,591 registrations nationwide, comprising:

57,444 Ordinary Level candidates

4,147 Advanced Level candidates
The Board stated that this represents a 28.42 per cent increase compared to 2024.
Examinations were conducted in 2,079 centres, marking a 13.92 per cent increase in the number of centres nationwide.
Performance Across Trade Areas
Performance varied across different trade areas. According to NABTEB:

Higher pass rates were recorded in Construction, Engineering, and Miscellaneous Trades

Business Trades recorded comparatively lower pass rates
Overall, more than half of the candidates qualified as craftsmen and master craftsmen.
Examination Malpractice
On examination malpractice, the Board reported that 259 candidates (0.42 per cent) were involved in malpractice cases.
The figure represents a slight decrease from 2024, which NABTEB attributed to improved monitoring mechanisms and collaboration with security agencies.
TVET Commitment And 2026 Registration Update
Dr Mohammed reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to strengthening Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Nigeria through enhanced partnerships and initiatives.
He also announced that registration for the 2026 in-school NBC/NTC examinations has commenced.
