History of Federal University Lokoja

Federal University Lokoja was established as one of Nigeria’s federal universities created to expand access to university education and strengthen higher education in different parts of the country. The university’s approved admissions schedule indicates that subsequent admission processing would continue after the screening period, with fresh-student registration scheduled to open on October 26, 2026 and resumption for fresh students scheduled for November 2, 2026.

The 2026 screening charge was ₦2,000, payable through the university’s stated Remita payment process. Candidates were also required to upload their O’Level results to the JAMB portal before completing the screening process.

A candidate should not assume that completing Post-UTME screening guarantees admission. FULokoja specifically states that successful screening does not by itself guarantee admission, as the university’s Central Admissions Committee applies other admission considerations.
