Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji

Federal Polytechnic, Ile‑Oluji popularly known as FEDPOLEL, is a Federal Government-owned polytechnic located in Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, Nigeria. The institution was established in 2014 and officially commenced academic activities in 2015 to expand technical and vocational education in Nigeria.

Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji is one of the newer federal polytechnics but has grown rapidly with accredited National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes across engineering, science, agriculture, environmental, and management disciplines.

History of the Institution

Federal Polytechnic, Ile‑Oluji was established in July 2014 by the Federal Government of Nigeria alongside other new federal polytechnics to expand access to technical education.

In March 2015, pioneer principal officers were appointed, and the institution began operations using temporary facilities provided by the Ondo State Government and the Ile-Oluji community.

By May 2015, the Polytechnic was officially declared open by the Federal Ministry of Education, marking the beginning of academic development and infrastructure expansion. The institution later secured 150 hectares of land for its permanent site along Ondo-Ipetu-Ijesa Road.

Since its establishment, the Polytechnic has continued expanding programmes, infrastructure, and student population.
