Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi State, has announced the commencement of registration for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise.
According to the University, online registration will begin on Monday, 25 May 2026 and close on Tuesday, 30 June 2026.
Eligible candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2026 UTME and selected AE-FUNAI as their first-choice institution are invited to apply.
Candidates who did not initially choose the University but wish to study at AE-FUNAI are also eligible, provided they complete a change of institution through JAMB before the deadline.
Eligibility Requirements For AE-FUNAI Screening
Candidates applying for admission into AE-FUNAI must satisfy the following conditions.
UTME Requirement
Applicants must:
- Score a minimum of 150 in the 2026 UTME
- Select AE-FUNAI as first-choice institution
Candidates seeking admission through Direct Entry are also eligible to apply after completing a change of institution to AE-FUNAI where necessary.
O’Level Requirement
Candidates must possess the required O’Level credits relevant to their chosen course.
The University also stated that candidates applying for the following programmes must obtain their O’Level results in one sitting only:
- Medicine and Surgery
- Law
- Nursing Science
- Medical Laboratory Science
Important Notice On Result Upload
All applicants are required to upload their O’Level and Direct Entry results on the JAMB CAPS portal on or before 30 June 2026.
The University warned that any application without uploaded results on CAPS will not be processed.

How To Apply For AE-FUNAI Post-UTME
Candidates are expected to complete the registration online through the University portal.

Registration Procedure
Step 1
Visit the University website and click on “Admissions”.
Step 2
Select “Apply Now”.
Step 3
Provide your JAMB Registration Number to validate your profile.
Step 4
Enter a valid email address and phone number.
Step 5
Verify your email address using the OTP sent to your email.
Step 6
Pay the required screening fee through bank transfer using the account details provided.
Step 7
Click on “I Have Made Payment” after completing the transfer.
Step 8
Complete the registration and print the acknowledgement slip.
Screening Mode
The University stated that the screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session will be conducted through internal screening of candidates’ submitted results.
