About the NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme

The 2025 NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme supports high-performing first-year students in Nigerian universities. It is part of NLNG’s contribution to education and human-capital development, helping young scholars manage the financial demands of higher education.

The scheme aims to:

  • Reward strong academic excellence

  • Support students in public (federal and state) universities

  • Build a pool of capable graduates who can contribute to national development

The award is strictly for first-degree students in federal and state-owned universities.

Who Can Apply for the 2025 Scholarship

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be Nigerian citizens residing in Nigeria

  • Be full-time first-year undergraduates in the 2025/2026 academic session

  • Be enrolled in a federal or state university

  • Have at least five O’Level credits in one sitting, including Mathematics and English

  • Score 200 and above in the 2025 UTME

  • Be between 18 and 25 years old

  • Not be receiving any other scholarship or bursary

  • Not be related (spouse, child, ward, direct relative) to an NLNG staff member

Only candidates who meet all requirements will move to the next stage.

  • A recent passport photograph (no glasses)

  • WAEC/NECO/SSCE result (minimum five credits in one sitting including Maths & English)

Only complete applications with valid email addresses will be processed.

Test, Screening, and Award Process

  • Only shortlisted candidates will receive invitations for a computer-based online proctored test.

  • Final awards will go to applicants who meet all requirements and pass every stage.

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the commencement of its online Computer-Based Test (CBT) for shortlisted candidates in the ongoing 2025 recruitment exercise. The test is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, 12 November 2025, at 9:00 a.m.

This stage is strictly for candidates who have received official scheduling. Participants are expected to follow all examination guidelines carefully, as non-compliance may result in disqualification. The online CBT will be AI-proctored to detect malpractice, unauthorized assistance, or device interference.

Key Details for Candidates

  • Ensure stable internet access, steady power supply, and use of a suitable device, preferably a laptop.
  • Mobile phones or tablets may be used, but interruptions like phone calls or switching apps will trigger violation alerts. Multiple violations may lead to automatic failure.
  • The CDCFIB examination portal opens 30 minutes before the scheduled test. Log in at recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng using your assigned exam window.
  • Complete the photo verification process and wait in the virtual room until the test starts automatically.

Rejoining After Disconnection

If disconnected during the test, candidates can rejoin within the allotted time and continue from where they left off. The system records progress automatically to ensure fairness.

The Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) has commenced the payment process for hostel accommodation fees for the 2025/2026 academic year. The Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Isah Yinusa, issued an official notice on 10 November 2025, urging both new and returning students to follow the approved procedures for secure hostel allocation.

Official Clearance and Payment Steps

Students must first obtain clearance from the Dean of Students’ Office before making any payment. Payments made without official clearance will not guarantee a hostel bed space.

  • Clearance must be completed at the Dean of Students’ Office.
  • After clearance, payments must be made through direct bank teller deposits into the university’s official accommodation account.
  • Account details are provided by the Dean’s Office after clearance.
  • Note: Online transfers, mobile app transactions, or POS payments will not be accepted and will be considered invalid.

Verification and Hostel Allocation

  • After completing payment, students must return to the Dean of Students’ Office with the original teller slip as proof of payment.
  • This proof is required for final hostel registration and room assignment.
  • Failure to follow the procedure may result in loss of hostel accommodation for the session.

FUNAAB Matriculation Ceremony and 13th Commencement Lecture 2025/2026

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has officially scheduled the Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 Academic Session, alongside the 13th Commencement Lecture, to hold at the Professor Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building on Wednesday, 19 November 2025.

Academic Gowns and Caps

  • All matriculants are required to wear academic gowns.
  • Gowns and caps can be collected from the Colleges starting Monday, 17 November 2025.
  • Return deadline: Monday, 24 November 2025, by 12 noon.

    • Lost gown or cap: N30,000

About the P2E Initiative

The programme will run virtually throughout November and provides free training in Digital Literacy and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for FUOYE female students. The training is designed to equip participants with practical AI digital skills relevant to global opportunities. Students can participate using mobile phones, laptops, or other digital devices from anywhere.

Training Focus

Participants will receive instruction on:

  • AI Foundation
  • Generative AI

Training will be facilitated by the Quality Education Development Associates (QEDA) team. At the end of the programme, participants will receive certificates authorized by Microsoft, UNICEF, and the Federal Ministry of Education.
