UDUS Academic Calendar 2026/2027

Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), has released the approved undergraduate academic calendar for the 2026/2027 academic session. The calendar outlines the dates for registration, lectures, examinations, semester breaks and other academic activities for both semesters.

Confirmation of admission and registration for new students will run from Monday, 12 October to Saturday, 7 November 2026, while returning students will register from Monday, 26 October to Saturday, 7 November 2026. Lectures for the first semester will begin on 9 November 2026, with a mid-semester break scheduled for 21–26 December 2026.

Hillside University of Science and Technology (HUST), Okemesi-Ekiti, has warned prospective students about fraudsters impersonating the Vice-Chancellor and other principal officers of the university.

The university said suspected scammers are contacting applicants and demanding money to facilitate admission. HUST stressed that it does not sell admission and advised prospective students to be cautious of anyone requesting payment in exchange for admission.

Applicants are advised to apply only through the official HUST admission portal and make payments strictly through approved university channels. They should not send money to personal or third-party accounts or make any payment in response to suspicious calls, text messages or other communications, even when the sender claims to be a university official.

Anyone who receives a suspicious call or message should report it to the university immediately. The notice lists the Registrar’s email as registrar@hust.edu.ng and the phone contact as 09119429029. Applicants should also verify admission instructions through the official HUST website before taking any action. Admission is not for sale.

FUASK Post-UTME Physical Screening 2026/2027

The Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia (FUASK), Kaduna State, has announced a new opportunity for candidates who are yet to complete the 2026/2027 Post-UTME physical screening exercise. The exercise is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, 30 September to Friday, 9 October 2026.

The physical screening will be held at the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, Kaduna State, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. Candidates who have not previously participated in the exercise are expected to report to the University during the stated period.

History of the Institution

Bowen University Teaching Hospital (BUTH) School of Health Information Management (SHIM) has commenced admission into its Health Information Technician programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and have five O’Level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics. The required subjects can be obtained in a maximum of two sittings.

The application fee is ₦10,000, which is non-refundable. Applications should be completed through the official SHIM application portal on or before Sunday, 18 October 2026.
