Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil – POLAC

The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil (POLAC) was established in 1988 as the Nigeria Police College and later upgraded to a full-fledged degree-awarding institution in 2012 by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The academy was created to provide academic and professional training for officers of the Nigeria Police Force. It combines university education with police training, discipline, and leadership development.

POLAC operates a cadet programme where students undergo both academic studies and police training for a period of five years. Upon graduation, cadets are awarded a Bachelor’s degree and are commissioned as Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP) into the Nigeria Police Force.

Over the years, the academy has grown into one of Nigeria’s premier security training institutions, contributing significantly to policing, law enforcement, and national security.
