The Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) was established in 2013 by the Federal Government of Nigeria as part of a nationwide effort to expand access to higher education and promote development in underserved regions.

The university was created to serve Zamfara State and the North-West region by providing quality education in sciences, humanities, and social sciences. Since its establishment, FUGUS has grown steadily in terms of academic programmes, infrastructure, and student population.

Undergraduate Admission

Candidates must sit for UTME conducted by JAMB.
Applicants must have at least five O’Level credits including English Language and Mathematics.
Candidates must select FUGUS as first choice or apply for a change of institution.
