The management of National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has announced that its 15th convocation ceremony will hold from 17 to 18 April, 2026.
EducationNGR gathered that the announcement was made by the Registrar of the university, Oladipo Ajayi, who stated that the ceremony will run for two days with activities taking place in Abuja.
The convocation events will feature both on-site and off-site participation, allowing graduands across various study centres to take part.
Pre-Convocation Lecture
The pre-convocation lecture will hold as follows:

The lecture will be delivered by Kanu Godwin Agabi, a former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice.
Main Convocation Ceremony
The main convocation ceremony, where graduands will be awarded their degrees, is scheduled as follows:

All participants attending the physical ceremony are expected to be seated not later than 9:00 a.m.

Participation From Study Centres
Other first-degree graduands across the country will participate in the ceremony from their respective state capital study centres.
This arrangement also applies to graduands from study centres within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), ensuring that participation is organised across the university’s nationwide study network.
Certificate Collection
The university stated that certificates will be available for collection immediately after the convocation ceremonies.

However, graduates from study centres within Abuja are expected to collect their certificates at the Abuja Model Study Centre, Kubuwa.
Livestream Participation
Graduands and other interested participants who cannot attend physically are encouraged to join the ceremony through the official livestream platform of National Open University of Nigeria from their designated study centres.
