UNIDEL Fixes Date for 2026 For Maiden Convocation Ceremony

The management of the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor, has announced Saturday, 21 February 2026 as the date for its maiden convocation ceremony.

The announcement was conveyed in a circular signed by the Registrar, Richmond Omagbemi (Esq), outlining key activities and directives for members of the university community.

EducationNGR gathered that all stakeholders are expected to strictly adhere to the guidelines provided for the smooth conduct of the ceremony.

Academic Procession: Time And Requirements

The grand finale of the convocation will commence with an academic procession at 9:00 a.m.

All members of the University Council, Senate and Congregation are required to participate in the procession and must be fully dressed in approved academic gowns.

Collection Of Academic Gowns

Faculty officers have been directed to collect academic gowns for graduating students from the Central Stores on Wednesday, 19 February 2026, by 12 noon.

They are also expected to ensure that graduating students maintain proper conduct throughout the duration of the ceremony.

Misconduct And Penalties

The university has cautioned that any act of misconduct capable of bringing the institution into disrepute will attract stiff penalties, in accordance with the university’s rules and regulations.
