AFUSTA Commences Lectures, Sets Registration Deadlines For Returning Students

The management of Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology, Aliero (AFUSTA), formerly Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero (KSUSTA), has announced the commencement of lectures and released registration guidelines for returning students.

The directive was contained in an internal memo issued from the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and addressed to Deans of Faculties and Heads of Departments. The university expects full compliance across all faculties.

Lectures Have Commenced

According to the memo, lectures have officially commenced and are currently ongoing across all faculties of the university.

Returning students are expected to resume academic activities immediately and keep up with their respective teaching schedules. The management also made it clear that lecture attendance is mandatory, as lecturers will be taking attendance during classes.

Registration Deadline For Returning Students

AFUSTA has directed all returning students to complete their registration on or before 31st January, 2026.

Students who have not finalised their registration are expected to do so within this period to avoid complications.

Late Registration Window

The university has provided a late registration window for students who miss the main deadline. Late registration will run from 2nd February, 2026 to 6th February, 2026.

This period is treated as a separate window, and students are advised not to rely on it unnecessarily.

Consequences After Late Registration

The memo states that any student who fails to complete registration after the late registration period may be required to defer the academic session.

Management advised students to take the registration process seriously and avoid delays that could affect their academic progress.

Compliance Advisory From Management

The university management urged all returning students to comply strictly with the directives on lecture attendance and registration to avoid academic setbacks.

Students are expected to follow departmental guidance, keep proper records, and adhere to all stated deadlines.
