UNIDEL Sets Date for 5th Matriculation Ceremony 2025

The University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor, has officially announced the date for its 5th Matriculation Ceremony. According to a circular signed by the Registrar, Richmond Omagbemi (Esq), the event is scheduled to take place on Friday, 14 November 2025. The ceremony will commence with an academic procession at 9:00 a.m., marking a major milestone for newly admitted students of the 2025/2026 academic session.

EducationNGR reports that this matriculation ceremony serves as a formal induction for fresh students into the university community. Attendance is restricted to those who have completed registration and are duly recognised as bona fide students of UNIDEL. Members of Senate and Congregation are expected to join the academic procession in full academic regalia.

Guidelines for the Ceremony

Faculty Officers are to collect academic gowns for students from the Central Stores starting Wednesday, 12 November 2025, at 12 noon. They are to oversee the distribution and ensure proper conduct throughout the ceremony.

Students are reminded to uphold the university’s values in their behaviour, appearance, and discipline during the event. Any misconduct capable of tarnishing UNIDEL’s image will attract disciplinary action as outlined in the university’s regulations.

Conduct and Responsibility

The university management has emphasised that the matriculation ceremony is a solemn academic event symbolising students’ official entry into university life. New students are advised to take the occasion seriously, demonstrating respect, discipline, and dedication to their studies. Staff members and the broader university community are also encouraged to support and guide the new intakes as they begin their academic journey.

Message from the University Management

In its message, the management of the University of Delta (UNIDEL) extended warm wishes to all participants for a successful and memorable ceremony. The institution reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence and moral integrity as it welcomes a new cohort of students into its vibrant academic community.

UNIDEL 1st Batch Merit Admission List for 2025/2026 is Out

The University of Delta has released its admission list for the 2025/2026 session. All applicants are asked to check their status on JAMB CAPS and act quickly to accept or reject offers. Kindly read the full notice for guidance and steps.

The University of Delta, known to many as UNIDEL, has finally rolled out its admission list for the new session. For those who applied, this is the moment of truth. Names are out, and the future of countless students is now written in black and white.

How to check your name

UNIDEL has made it clear: the only way to confirm is through the JAMB CAPS portal. No shortcuts. Here’s the path to follow, simple enough if you take it one step at a time:

  • Go to the JAMB EFacility portal
  • Log in with your JAMB username and password
  • Scroll till you see “Check Admission Status” and tap it
  • Click on “Access my CAPS”
  • Then choose “Admission Status” to see if UNIDEL has given you a seat

Next step after the offer

If you are among the lucky ones, the work is not done yet. You must reply by sending ACCEPT or REJECT as a text to either 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number you used to register for JAMB. That is how your place becomes official.

For others whose page still shows “Admission Still in Progress” or “Not Admitted”, patience is the word. The list is released in phases, so keep checking. Today it may not show, tomorrow it could.

Once you have accepted, move quickly to print your JAMB admission letter. That paper is as important as your ID card, guard it well.

A quick hack for phone users

Plenty students try CAPS with their phone, only to see a blank welcome message. Do not let that frustrate you. Use Chrome, switch it to desktop mode, and the full page with all the options will appear. Small trick, big relief.
