Jimoh Babalola University Ilorin (JBU) has announced the commencement of its 2026/2027 admission exercise for prospective undergraduate students.

EducationNGR reports that the institution, licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC), is inviting qualified candidates to apply for admission into selected programmes across its faculties.

JBU Post-UTME Application Rules

Candidates seeking admission through UTME must:

  • Choose Jimoh Babalola University Ilorin as first choice

  • Score at least 150 in UTME

Candidates who did not initially select the university can still apply by changing their institution on the JAMB CAPS portal.

Applicants are required to:

Successful candidates will receive admission notifications via both the university portal and JAMB CAPS, and must accept the offer to complete the process.

Direct Entry Admission At JBU

Jimoh Babalola University Ilorin also accepts Direct Entry candidates with:

  • ND

  • NCE

  • HND

  • IJMB

  • JUPEB

  • GCE A’Level

  • Other recognised equivalents

Applicants must apply online and pay the ₦20,000 application fee.

Admission Requirements

All applicants must:

  • Have a valid JAMB registration number

  • Possess at least five O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects

  • Present results from WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or equivalent

  • Obtain results in not more than two sittings

  • Be at least 16 years old

Additional notes:

  • IJMB, JUPEB, and GCE A’Level candidates are eligible

  • Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW) with valid licences may apply

  • Candidates must ensure correct UTME subject combinations

General Eligibility
