Federal Polytechnic, Kabo commonly referred to as FEDPOLY KABO is a Federal Government-owned polytechnic located in Kabo, Kano State, Nigeria. It is one of the newly established federal polytechnics, created to expand access to technical, vocational, and entrepreneurial education in Northern Nigeria.
The institution was officially established around 2022–2023 and is accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to run National Diploma (ND) programmes across multiple disciplines, with plans for Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes as it expands.
History of the Institution
Federal Polytechnic, Kabo was established by the Federal Government of Nigeria as part of efforts to increase access to technical education and develop skilled manpower in the North-West region.
The Polytechnic is located along Kabo–Gwarzo Road in Kano State and is still in its growth and development phase, with ongoing expansion of facilities, staff strength, and academic programmes.
Despite being a relatively new institution, it has already begun offering NBTE-accredited programmes across engineering, science, health, environmental, and management fields.
