Federal Polytechnic, Bida also popularly known as Fed Poly Bida is a Federal Government-owned polytechnic located along KM 1.5 Doko Road, Bida, Niger State, Nigeria. Established in 1977, the institution commenced academic activities in 1978 and has grown into one of Nigeria’s leading polytechnics offering National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes.

History of the Institution
Federal Polytechnic, Bida was established in 1977 by the Federal Government of Nigeria to expand access to technical and vocational education.
Academic activities officially began in 1978 with 211 students and 44 academic and non-academic staff. The institution initially operated from temporary facilities before expanding to its permanent campus along Doko Road, Bida.
