Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, is a state-owned university in Kogi State, Nigeria, established with a strong focus on science, technology, engineering, innovation and health-related disciplines. The university is located along the Okene–Lokoja Road in Osara, within Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State. History 

Confluence University of Science and Technology was conceived as a specialised university intended to expand access to higher education in science, technology, engineering and related fields in Kogi State. The university’s establishment formed part of the Kogi State Government’s plan to create an institution with a strong orientation towards scientific and technological education.

The legal process for establishing the university took place in August 2020. The Kogi State House of Assembly passed the CUSTECH establishment bill on 20 August 2020, while assent was given on 21 August 2020. According to the university’s historical account, the National Universities Commission granted the required recognition in November 2020, and the pioneer management team was inaugurated on 17 December 2020.

CUSTECH was established with its main campus at Osara, along the Okene–Lokoja corridor. The university subsequently developed academic, administrative and residential infrastructure to support its expanding programmes. Its academic direction has remained closely connected to science, technology, engineering, medicine, agriculture, computing and innovation.

Admission Requirements

Admission requirements at CUSTECH depend on the programme selected.

For the 2026/2027 UTME admission exercise, candidates must meet the minimum UTME score specified for their intended programme. This means there is no single course-specific cut-off applicable to every CUSTECH applicant. The university has published individual cut-off marks for its programmes.
