AIFUE clarified that all admissions were processed strictly through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). This system, the university explained, ensures transparency and prevents any external manipulation. Therefore, the claim of admitting only 942 students was “implausible and unverifiable.”

The institution also reminded the public that it has been training degree students since 1981 under its former affiliation with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and currently has a student population of nearly 10,000, including UNN-affiliated students.

For the 2025/2026 academic session, AIFUE has already released two admission lists, admitting nearly 2,000 students. The exchange initiative is coordinated by the Office of International Relations, Partnerships and Prospects (IRPP) at UNILAG. It is designed to strengthen academic collaboration and promote student mobility between UNILAG and Bahçeşehir University (BAU), Turkey.

Eligible undergraduate applicants must be enrolled in one of the following departments:

  • Business Administration

  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering

  • Computer Engineering

  • Software Engineering
