In line with this extension, the Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare (ASCOEA) has also moved the closing date for screening and change of course or institution for both Degree and NCE applicants to the same day.

Applicants are encouraged to make use of this extra time to finalise all required steps, including completing their screening and submitting any necessary changes online. Extended Schedule for NCE Admission at ASCOEA

NWU Sokoto Announces Resumption and Registration Dates 2025/2026

The Senate of Northwest University Sokoto (NWUS) has released the official dates for the resumption and registration of both newly admitted and returning students for the 2025/2026 academic session. The announcement followed an emergency Senate meeting held on Monday, 3 November 2025, chaired by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Mukhtar Umar Bunza, at the main campus.

According to the Senate’s decision, registration for newly admitted students will start on Monday, 17 November 2025, and close on Monday, 1 December 2025. Returning students will begin registration on Monday, 1 December 2025, and complete it by Monday, 15 December 2025. EducationNGR also gathered that lectures for all students are expected to commence immediately after registration closes.

Professor Bunza explained that NWUS is committed to maintaining an academic calendar that promotes timely commencement and smooth completion of learning activities. FULAFIA Releases Registration Guidelines for 2024/2025 Third Semester

The Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA) has released the approved procedure for the 2024/2025 third semester registration. All students participating in the exercise are required to complete the process through the official student portal.

According to the University’s directive, students must generate invoices, make payments, and register only repeat courses as part of the semester requirements. Each step of the process has been outlined clearly to ensure smooth registration for eligible students. EducationNGR also learnt that this directive applies strictly to students who have outstanding courses to retake.

Step-by-Step Guide for Third Semester Registration at FULAFIA

  • Log in to the student portal at my.fulafia.edu.ng.
  • Go to the Standalone Charges section.
  • Select the 2024/2025 session.
  • Generate an invoice of N10,000 as the third semester registration fee and make payment.
  • Generate invoices for the number of courses you are to register. For example, if you are registering three courses, select Third Semester 3-course.
  • After payment, go to the Academics tab and click on Registration.
  • Register only repeat courses. Each student is allowed to register a maximum of six repeat courses. Dropped courses cannot be registered.
  • Download the course registration form and present it to your department for endorsement.
  • Submit the endorsed registration forms to your department, faculty, and the Academic Affairs Division.

All students participating in the third semester are to pay a registration fee of N10,000. After paying the registration fee, each course to be registered attracts a fee of N5,000.

Important Notes for Students

FULAFIA management advises students to complete all payments and registrations on time to avoid issues with academic records or penalties for late registration. Only repeat courses are allowed for the third semester, and students must not exceed the approved limit of six courses.

Departments and faculties have been directed to ensure all submissions are properly endorsed before the end of the registration period. Students are encouraged to retain copies of all receipts and endorsed forms for their records.

The Board of Trustees of the Professor Ayo Ogunye Professorial Chair in Chemical Engineering, University of Lagos (UNILAG), invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of the Prof. Ayo Ogunye Professorial Chair in Chemical Engineering. The role is open to scholars with strong academic backgrounds and proven experience in teaching and research.

Role Description

The appointee will teach and supervise both existing and newly designed courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the Department of Chemical Engineering. The occupant will also conduct advanced research in any specialised area of Chemical Engineering.

In addition, the Chair will organise research seminars to encourage fresh studies in the field. Each year, the occupant is expected to hold a special lecture and deliver a terminal public lecture summarising their achievements at the end of the tenure.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must hold a good first degree and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. Candidates should have extensive teaching and research experience, with at least ten years as a professor and must meet UNILAG’s criteria for professorship.

Applicants are expected to show continuing research activity, proven scholarly publications in reputable journals, and the ability to supervise postgraduate students. Administrative experience, leadership skills, integrity, and competence in information technology are also required. The applicant must not be older than 67 years at the time of appointment.

ASCOEA Certificate Payment Reminder for UNIMAID Graduates (2017–2023)

Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare (ASCOEA) has issued a crucial reminder to all graduates affiliated with the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) between 2017 and 2023 concerning the payment required for certificate processing.

According to the notice, the College is finalising arrangements to produce certificates for all affected graduates. Each graduate must pay a ₦20,000 non-refundable fee through Remita on or before 17 November 2025 to facilitate the completion and delivery of certificates in partnership with the University of Maiduguri.

Certificate Processing Notice from ASCOEA

The management recalled that a similar notice was issued earlier via circular No. ASCOEA/ADM/INT/CIR/42B/VI/151 dated 8 June 2024, but the response was very low. ASCOEA has now stressed that the University of Maiduguri will not entertain or process any individual certificate requests outside the collective arrangement.

EducationNGR also gathered that graduates who fall within the specified years must complete the payment before the deadline. The College stated clearly that failure to comply will lead to the discontinuation of certificate processing for any defaulting graduate.

After the deadline, ASCOEA will not engage in further discussions or correspondence regarding the issue. All affected graduates are therefore advised to take immediate action to ensure timely receipt of their certificates.

FUNAAB Management Degree Admission Form 2025/2026

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has reopened admissions into its reintroduced Management Degree Programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session. Some Tips to Guide Locally-Trained Graduates During Registration

  • A National Identification Number (NIN) is required for online registration. Click “Fresh Registration” if registering for the first time, or “Revalidation” if previously deployed but did not report to camp.
  • Those who have previously started registration but did not complete should click “Login Here” to continue.
  • Ensure your facial photograph is clear; blurred images are not permitted. Thumbprinting must be done personally.
  • Your Date of Birth, Date of Graduation, and Course of Study will appear on your Certificate of National Service and Exemption Certificate. These details cannot be corrected after camp registration.
  • Corrections to Name, Date of Birth, Course of Study, Class of Degree, or Qualification must be applied for through your dashboard.
  • PCMs serving in the Armed Forces, married female PCMs, PCMs with disabilities, or those with health challenges should indicate and upload the relevant documents during registration.

  • Contact the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja if your institution has not been evaluated and submit an Evaluation Letter to NYSC NDHQ Abuja.
  • SSCE results uploaded must be four (4) years or older.
  • Select a Center for Pre-camp physical verification during Online Registration.
  • Present original certificates, transcripts, and travel documents during physical verification.
  • Print your Clearance Slip after successful verification to present at your camp.
  • Foreign graduates should carry a translated version of their certificate where applicable.
  • Exempted members must collect their Exemption Certificate at NYSC NDHQ Abuja, while excluded members print their Exclusion Letter online.
