Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai (IBBU), also known as IBBUL, is a state-owned university located in Lapai, Niger State, Nigeria. History of the Institution

IBBU was established by the Niger State Government and began academic activities in the 2005/2006 academic session. It was named after former Nigerian Head of State General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.

Since inception, the university has expanded steadily in infrastructure, academic departments, staff strength, and student population. It has grown into a respected institution serving students from across Nigeria.
