Post UTME / Admission Requirements
Undergraduate Admission

Candidates must sit for the UTME conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Direct Entry Admission

UNIBEN Part-Time Degree Admission Form for 2026/2027 Session
The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its Part-Time Degree, Diploma, and Certificate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. The opportunity is open to suitably qualified candidates seeking flexible study options while earning a recognised University of Benin qualification.
The approved programmes cover various fields in Arts, Education, Social Sciences, Management Sciences, and Sciences. Available undergraduate courses include B.A. International Studies and Diplomacy, B.A. Mass Communication, B.Sc. Accounting, B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Sc. Public Administration, B.Sc. Political Science, B.Sc. Statistics, B.Sc. Banking and Finance, among others. The university also offers Diploma and Certificate programmes in Early Child Health and Development.
Interested applicants are expected to complete their applications online between 1st September and 30th November 2026. Candidates must first register as a Part-Time candidate at any JAMB-approved CBT centre and obtain a JAMB registration number before proceeding to the UNIBEN portal to complete the application process. Applicants are required to provide accurate information, upload a coloured passport photograph with a red background, and pay the application fee of ₦22,500 through the Remita payment platform.
Candidates are advised to carefully review their application details before final submission, as submitted applications cannot be edited afterwards. Applicants should also note that only applications with valid JAMB registration numbers will be considered. The university stated that admission screening will be based on candidates’ O’Level, JUPEB, or Diploma results, and applicants can check their admission status online after the application process is completed.
