The Student Union Government (SUG) of Federal University Lokoja has issued an important update to students who applied for the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
According to the notice, students whose school fees portal is still reflecting ₦5,000 for late registration should note that the issue is a system glitch. University Management is currently working to rectify the error.
EducationNGR gathered from the NELFUND Desk Officer that the names of all applicants are presently being processed to enable the reopening of their portals for course registration.
Advisory To Students With “Disbursed” Status
Students whose portal status shows “Disbursed” have been strongly advised not to make any school fees payment, even if they have the funds available.
The SUG clarified that:
-
“Disbursed” means the school fees have already been credited to the University Management.
-
There is no need for duplicate payment.
Students are urged to remain calm while the processing and system corrections are finalised.
SUG Assures Continued Engagement
The Student Union Government reaffirmed its commitment to student welfare, stating that it has remained proactive in engaging relevant regulatory bodies and authorities to ensure all NELFUND-related concerns are properly addressed.
Management and the SUG assured affected students that necessary steps are being taken to resolve the matter promptly.
