FUD Senate Expels 20, Rusticates 15 Students Over Examination Misconduct

The Senate of Federal University Dutse (FUD) has approved disciplinary sanctions against several students for examination misconduct during the Second Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Session.

According to the university’s official weekly newsletter, the Senate sanctioned the expulsion of 20 students and the rustication of 15 students after considering recommendations from the Senate Committee on Examination Misconduct.

In addition:

  • 2 students were exonerated

  • 3 students received written warnings

EducationNGR gathered that the decisions were reached in accordance with the university’s approved categories of offences and corresponding penalties governing both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Senate Decision And Institutional Position

The development was disclosed in a statement signed by the Director of Academic Affairs, who confirmed that the affected students were drawn from various faculties and departments across the institution.

The university reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on examination malpractice, stressing that strict adherence to academic regulations remains mandatory for all students.

Management further urged students to conduct themselves in line with established examination guidelines to avoid disciplinary consequences.
