In a major boost for technical education in Kaduna State, the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has approved eighteen new academic programmes for Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, while also granting re-accreditation to forty-two existing programmes after a successful resource inspection exercise.

The approval was conveyed in a letter dated 20 February 2026, signed by Dr Fatima Kabir Umar, Director of the Polytechnic and Allied Programmes Department, on behalf of the Executive Secretary of NBTE, Prof. Idris Mohammed Bugaje. The resource inspection visit took place in January 2026.

Rector Commends State Government Support

The Rector of the Polytechnic, Engr. Dr Mohammed Kabir Abdullahi, expressed appreciation to the Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, for supporting the accreditation process.

According to the Rector, the Governor’s commitment to funding and strengthening educational infrastructure was instrumental in enabling the institution to meet NBTE standards.

He also acknowledged the contributions of the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Prof. Abubakar Sani Sambo, the ministry’s staff and the entire polytechnic community for their roles in securing the approvals.
