Eligibility Requirements

National Diploma (ND) Applicants
Candidates must:

  • Possess at least five (5) credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics
  • Obtain results in not more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB)
  • Score a minimum of 100 in the 2026 UTME
  • Candidates who did not select DESPO as first choice must apply for Change of Institution via JAMB

Higher National Diploma (HND) Applicants
Candidates must:

  • Hold an ND from an NBTE-accredited institution in a relevant field
  • Have at least one year Industrial Training (IT) experience (or two years for candidates with Pass grade)
  • Meet the O’Level requirements used for ND admission

Application Procedure

Interested candidates are to:

  • Visit www.ogharapoly.edu.ng
  • Click on ND Application Form
  • Pay the application fee (₦2,000 for ND Regular I or ₦15,000 for ND Regular II/HND programmes) using ATM card
  • Complete and submit the online application form
  • Print two copies of the acknowledgement slip

Screening Requirements

Candidates will be required to present:

  • Four recent passport photographs
  • Application/bursary payment receipt
  • O’Level and ND statements/certificates (where applicable)
  • Certificate of origin
  • Birth certificate or age declaration

Important Note

All applicants must ensure their O’Level results are uploaded on the JAMB portal. Candidates are also advised to complete their Change of Institution (if applicable) before the deadline.

The management of Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara has announced the commencement of applications for admission into its Weekend National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The weekend programme is designed for working-class individuals and other applicants who require flexible study schedules while pursuing higher education.

Eligibility Requirements

For Weekend ND Applicants
Candidates must possess at least five (5) credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings using WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.

For Weekend HND Applicants
Candidates must:

  • Hold a National Diploma (ND) from an NBTE-accredited institution in a relevant field
  • Have at least one year of post-ND Industrial Training (IT) for candidates with Lower Credit and above
  • Candidates with a Pass grade must have at least two years of post-qualification experience
  • Meet the basic O’Level requirements used for ND admission

Application Procedure

Interested candidates are to:

  • Visit the official portal at www.ogharapoly.edu.ng
  • Select ND, HND, or Weekend Application Form
  • Pay a non-refundable application fee of ₦15,000 via debit card (Verve or MasterCard)
  • Complete and submit the online form with accurate details
  • Print two copies of the acknowledgement slip after submission

Screening Requirements

Candidates are required to present the following at the screening exercise (date to be announced):

  • Completed application form and acknowledgement slips
  • Four recent passport photographs
  • Payment receipt for application form
  • O’Level and ND result documents (where applicable)
  • Certificate of origin
  • Birth certificate or age declaration
