The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the official Computer-Based Test (CBT) timetable for the 2026 WASSCE for Private Candidates (First Series). Candidates who registered for the examination are advised to check the timetable early and plan accordingly.
Examination Dates
According to WAEC, the 2026 First Series GCE examinations will:

Commence: Wednesday, 28 January 2026

End: Saturday, 14 February 2026
This period covers all CBT papers scheduled for the first series.
Access To The CBT Timetable
Registered candidates can now access the full CBT timetable. The complete timetable has been provided in a PDF format, which candidates are advised to download and keep for reference. EducationNGR also learnt that checking the timetable early helps candidates avoid last-minute confusion.
Registration Status Reminder
WAEC also reminded candidates that registration for the 2026 GCE First Series is still ongoing.

Registration closes: Tuesday, 27 January 2026
Candidates who have not completed their registration are advised to do so before the deadline, as late entries may not be entertained.

Candidates should ensure they are familiar with the CBT examination format ahead of time and strictly adhere to the dates and subjects listed on the timetable. Regular checks are advised in case of any official update from WAEC.
