The Faculty of Education, University of Lagos (UNILAG), has announced the schedule for its Teaching Practice Orientation Programme for the 2025/2026 academic year.

The event is set for Wednesday, September 10, 2025, starting at 10:00 a.m., and will take place at the Jelili Omotola Multipurpose Hall B on the UNILAG campus.

About the Orientation

Sales begin Monday, 21 July and close Friday, 5 September 2025. Don’t get caught snoozing.

Who Can Transfer?

UNILAG won’t let just anyone switch programmes. You need to tick these boxes:

  • Must have completed 200 level by the end of 2024/2025
  • Must have a minimum CGPA of 1.00
  • Must have the right O’Level or A’Level subjects for the course you want
  • Must provide your current result slip

So if you failed to show up in class last year or your GPA is scraping the floor, this route might not work for you.

  • Master’s degree and, where the rank needs it, a Ph.D.
  • Teaching or research record, as listed for each rank
    • Senior Lecturer, at least six years
    • Lecturer I, at least three years
  • Five O-Level credits, English and Mathematics included
  • Strong ICT use, you will take a CBT before interview

  • Salary bands for Senior Lecturer, Lecturer I, Lecturer II, and Assistant Lecturer follow the current national minimum wage grid
