UNILAG Introduces New Payment System for Association Dues

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has rolled out a new procedure for the collection of Student Association Dues across all faculties and departments. Under this updated arrangement, dues will now be paid directly at the faculty level during the ongoing screening exercises for fresh students.

EducationNGR gathered that this development is designed to enhance transparency, improve convenience, and strengthen accountability within student associations. The University’s management has advised all new students to comply with this directive during their screening sessions.

Payment Procedure for UNILAG Student Association Dues

During the faculty screening process, each departmental and faculty association will handle the collection of dues from their newly admitted students. This decentralised method is expected to reduce the long queues and processing delays that often occur with centralised collection systems.

Students are reminded that payment of association dues is a key requirement for registration. These contributions fund student welfare initiatives, academic support activities, and representation at faculty and departmental levels.

Stay Connected for Updates

UNILAG encourages all students to stay informed about further updates through its official communication channels. To receive real-time notifications and important announcements, students can join the UNILAG WhatsApp Channel.

EducationNGR also learnt that the University remains fully committed to maintaining a transparent and efficient administrative structure that benefits both students and faculty associations. Freshers are therefore advised to adhere strictly to the new payment schedule during their respective screening exercises.

UNILAG 1st Batch Merit Admission List 2025/2026 Out

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has published its 2025/2026 admission list. Candidates are advised to check their admission status on the JAMB CAPS portal and follow the listed steps to confirm acceptance. Read on for full details and helpful tips.

Ah, the wait is finally over. The University of Lagos, fondly called UNILAG, has rolled out the admission list for the 2025/2026 academic year. You could almost hear a sigh of relief from thousands of applicants across the country. If you’ve been refreshing your portal every morning, this might just be your lucky moment.

So, what’s next? Grab your device, take a deep breath, and let’s walk through the process. Nothing too fancy here, just simple steps to find out if your name made it to the list.

How to Check the UNILAG Admission List

At the moment, the only way to confirm your status is through the JAMB CAPS portal. Yep, that’s where the truth lies. Here’s how to get it done:

  • Head over to the JAMB E-Facility Portal.
  • Log in using your JAMB-registered email and password.
  • Scroll down a bit and click “Check Admission Status.”
  • Select “Access my CAPS.”
  • Then click “Admission Status” to see what fate has to say.

If you’re using a phone and can’t find the “Admission Status” option, don’t panic. Many mobile browsers only show a welcome message. Just switch to Desktop Mode in your Chrome browser and try again. Easy fix.

Understanding Your JAMB CAPS Status

When you finally open the page, you might see one of several messages. Here’s what each one means in plain language:

  • ADMISSION OFFERED: Big congratulations! You’ve been accepted by JAMB. You can now accept or reject the offer right on the portal.
  • ADMISSION IN PROGRESS (AIP): Your name is under review. The school has recommended you, but the process still needs a nod from both the school head and JAMB.
  • RECOMMENDED: You’ve been given a thumbs-up by UNILAG, and JAMB is taking one last look before making it official.
  • NOT ADMITTED: Not yet. This could mean the list is still being updated or your case is still pending. Don’t lose hope—sometimes the next batch tells a different story.
  • PENDING: Your application is still under review, and the final call hasn’t been made.

What to Do After Getting Admitted

Once you see that golden line—ADMISSION OFFERED—don’t just smile and walk away. There are a few things to sort out first:

  • Send ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number linked to your JAMB profile.
  • After accepting, print your JAMB Admission Letter. You’ll need this for clearance and registration later on.

A small word of advice: make sure you print and save copies of everything. You’ll thank yourself when it’s time for documentation.

Some Quick Notes for Mobile Users

If you’re checking from a phone, it can be a bit tricky. Like I said earlier, the Admission Status button sometimes hides. Switching to Desktop Mode usually does the trick. To do that, go to Chrome’s settings and tick Request Desktop Site. It’s a simple click that saves a lot of wahala.

See UNILAG Departmental Cut-Off Mark for 2025/2026

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has published its 2025/2026 cut-off marks for all courses. Candidates can now review the merit and catchment scores, confirm their eligibility, and prepare for the next phase of admission. Kindly read below for full details and helpful notes.

So, here we go again. The University of Lagos has dropped that list — not the fun kind, not a music playlist or trending chart, but a table filled with numbers that can make hearts skip. Every year, it’s the same mix of hope and fear. A few digits sitting there, calm and quiet, but telling stories louder than words. Are you in, or are you out?

For anyone who calls UNILAG their dream school, this list isn’t just information. It’s a verdict. Your whole year might have led up to this one check. Take a breath, grab your score, and let’s go through what those figures mean.

UNILAG Post-UTME Cut-Off Marks

UNILAG has published its detailed post-UTME cut-off marks for each course and faculty. The scores are split into Merit (the general cut-off) and Catchment Areas (which cover specific states like Lagos, Ogun, Ekiti, Osun, Oyo, and Ondo).

If your score matches or beats the merit mark, you’re in the safe zone. If you fall a bit short, your catchment area might just save you. For some programmes, especially the rare ones, you’ll even see “NIL” — that means no record or catchment data.

Here’s a look at how some of them stand:

UNILAG JAMB Cut-Off Marks

Before you even dream of post-UTME, let’s talk about JAMB. UNILAG plays no games here. If your JAMB score is below 200, you’re out. No talk, no second chances. They don’t accept 180 or 199. You must score 200 and above, and the school must be your first choice.

University of Lagos (UNILAG)
Apply: UNILAG tDPT Programme Admission Form 2025/2026

The University of Lagos has announced admission into its Transitional Doctor of Physiotherapy (tDPT) programme for 2025–2026. Licensed physiotherapists within and outside Nigeria may apply. Full details on requirements, fees, and application period are outlined below.

The University of Lagos, often called UNILAG, has opened its gates for applications into the Transitional Doctor of Physiotherapy, or tDPT, programme. This is run by the College of Medicine and is tailored for practising physiotherapists who want to stretch their careers further. The programme is a mix of distance learning and weekend on-site sessions, built for busy professionals. Think of it as study while you keep working, a balance many in the field have long asked for.

Nature of the UNILAG tDPT Programme

The programme is:

  • A hybrid learning setup, combining online classes with weekend face-to-face lectures.
  • Open to licensed physiotherapists in Nigeria and abroad.
  • Designed to run for a minimum of four semesters or two academic sessions.

It is positioned as an executive-level training, meaning it expects participants to already be grounded in practice.

Admission Requirements for UNILAG tDPT Programme

To qualify, an applicant must tick certain boxes:

  • Be a licensed physiotherapist under the Medical Rehabilitation Therapist Board (MRTB).
  • Hold a B.Sc. in Physiotherapy, a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, or a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation degree in Physiotherapy, or something equivalent. Such candidates may be admitted directly at the 500 Level.
  • Have at least five credit passes in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and English from SSCE, GCE O’Level, or an equivalent, obtained in no more than two sittings.
  • Be ready for screening before final admission is granted.

The rules are firm but clear, leaving no room for half measures.

Application Fee and Duration

  • The fee is ₦50,000 (fifty thousand naira).
  • Application runs for three weeks from the date of the announcement.

Applicants are urged to keep the clock in mind and act fast.

Enquiries and Contact

A seat in 200 level depends on two things, your JUPEB score, and course capacity. Where there are more successful candidates than seats, the University may add extra checks to pick students. This keeps things tidy, but yes, it can feel tight.

  • Direct entry is subject to approved course capacity
  • Extra checks may be used where numbers are high
  • The programme is non-residential
  • No current facility for visually impaired candidates

Tough call, but clear.
