How to Check the Babcock University Admission List

You can confirm your admission status through two platforms: the JAMB CAPS portal and the Babcock University Admission Portal.

Option 1: Check through JAMB CAPS

  1. Visit the JAMB E-Facility portal.
  2. Log in using your JAMB email and password.
  3. Scroll to Check Admission Status and click it.
  4. Choose Access my CAPS.
  5. Select Admission Status to see if you have been offered admission to Babcock University.

If using a phone and you cannot see the full CAPS page, switch to Desktop Mode using your browser’s menu. The Chrome browser is recommended for best results.

Understanding JAMB CAPS Responses

  • ADMISSION OFFERED: Congratulations! Your admission has been approved. Accept or reject the offer on CAPS.
  • ADMISSION IN PROGRESS (AIP): Your application is being processed for final approval.
  • RECOMMENDED: JAMB is reviewing your school’s recommendation.
  • NOT ADMITTED: Your admission is still under consideration or yet to be released.
  • PENDING: Your application is awaiting decision.

What to Do After You Are Admitted

Candidates who have been offered admission should:

  1. Accept or reject the offer either at an approved JAMB CBT centre or via SMS by sending ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019 using their registered phone number.
  2. Print their JAMB Admission Letter.

Option 2: Check via Babcock University Admission Portal

  1. Visit the Babcock University Admission Portal.
  2. Log in with your application email address and password.
  3. Check your admission status and print your admission letter from the same portal.

Admission Acceptance Fee

Candidates offered admission should pay a non-refundable acceptance fee:

  • ₦200,000 – for all courses except Law, Medicine, and Nursing.
  • ₦300,000 – for Law and Nursing.
  • ₦500,000 – for Medicine.

This fee is part of the overall tuition and confirms your acceptance of the admission offer.

Payment Process

Follow these steps after your admission is confirmed:

  1. On the congratulatory message page, click Next.
  2. Upload your JAMB Admission Letter.
  3. Proceed to the Acceptance Fee window and click Make Payment.
  4. After payment, download and print your receipt.
  5. To pay your school fees balance, click Make Additional Payment on the menu.
  6. Complete your Acceptance Form by selecting it from the top-left menu of the portal.

Arrival Guidelines for Main Campus Students

  1. On arrival, students should proceed directly to their halls of residence for room allocation.
  2. After receiving a room, proceed for bed space allocation.
  3. Next, visit the University Stadium for verification of credentials (JAMB admission letter, payment evidence, etc.) and biometric capture for your smart ID card.
  4. Continue to the University Amphitheatre for medical and psychosocial tests, spiritual care, and Worship Centre allocation.
  5. Finally, attend the General Orientation at the Amphitheatre.

Arrival Guidelines for Iperu Campus Students

Law, Engineering, and Environmental Sciences students will resume at the School of Law and Security Studies, Iperu Campus.

  1. Upon arrival, report to Canopy 1 on the open field for directions.
  2. Proceed to your allocated room and collect your bed space.
  3. Verification of credentials and biometric capture will be held at the indoor sports facility.
  4. Attend medical, psychosocial, and spiritual care sessions at Christ Our Foundation Chapel.
  5. Conclude with General Orientation at the Iperu Campus.

Required Documents and Items

Students must bring:

  • JAMB admission letter, WAEC/NECO result, and proof of school fee payment.
  • Birth certificate (National Population Commission) or affidavit of age declaration.
  • Bed sheets, pillowcases, toiletries, bucket, towels, and basic study materials.
  • Modest corporate clothing (skirts below the knee for females; shirts and ties for males).

Prohibited items include jeans, short skirts, cooking equipment, personal furniture, jewellery, and coloured make-up kits.

Acceptance Fee Details

  • ₦200,000 for most courses
  • ₦300,000 for Law and Nursing
  • ₦500,000 for Medicine

This fee is non-refundable and part of the overall tuition.

Who resumes when

Things are staggered, maybe to reduce the crowd or just to keep it orderly. Here is how it looks:

  • Year 3 students: Monday and Tuesday, 1–2 September 2025
  • Year 2 students: Wednesday and Thursday, 3–4 September 2025
  • Year 4 and 5 students: Monday to Thursday, 8–11 September 2025

The reminders that matter

A few small steps, if ignored, can cause wahala. So, take note:

  • Finish your registration before showing up. Don’t push it till last minute.
  • On arrival, head straight to your hall of residence. No detours.
  • Carry your student receipt or evidence of payment, you will need it before they hand over your room key.
  • Only students who have either paid their fees or have enough balance in their accounts will be allowed in. Simple as that.
