Niger Delta University Announces 6th Inaugural Lecture

The Vice-Chancellor of Niger Delta University, Prof. Allen Azibaodum Omsiagih, on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, Management, Staff, and Students, has cordially invited members of the public to the institution’s 6th Inaugural Lecture.

The academic event is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 18th March 2026, at 12:00 noon.

Venue For The Lecture

The lecture will take place at the Main Auditorium, Gloryland Campus, Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State.

Inaugural Lecturer And Topic

The Inaugural Lecturer is Gini Aziengbe Elvis-Imo, a Professor of Public Law in the Department of Jurisprudence and Public Law, Faculty of Law.

Prof. Elvis-Imo holds the following academic qualifications:

  • LL.B (AAU)

  • B.L (Lagos)

  • LL.M (UNIBEN)

  • PhD (DELSU)

He will deliver a lecture titled:
“IMPINGEMENT OF THE SYNERGISM OF MAN, ENVIRONMENT AND THE LAW.”

The university community and the general public are expected to attend the lecture, which forms part of the institution’s tradition of promoting intellectual discourse and advancing scholarly contributions across various fields of study.
