List Of Universities Approved For LL.B Admission In 2026 – Law School

The Council of Legal Education, which oversees the Nigerian Law School, has released an official public notice listing universities approved to admit students into the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programme in Nigeria for 2026.

The notice was directed to the general public, prospective students, parents, guardians and other stakeholders in the education sector.

EducationNGR gathered that only universities accredited by the Council of Legal Education are authorised to admit students into the LL.B programme in Nigeria.

Warning To Universities And Prospective Students

According to the council, any university that admits students into a Law programme without proper accreditation is violating the regulations governing legal education in the country.

The council also warned that such institutions may face sanctions under existing policies and regulations.

More importantly, students who enrol in Law programmes at universities not accredited by the Council of Legal Education will not be eligible for admission into the Nigerian Law School, which is mandatory for becoming a practising lawyer in Nigeria.
